Whenever I'm watching YouTube and a video goes to the next, it resets back to default setting for the video. Is there a way to fix this? And I've tried to reset my cookies and site data, didn't work.

I've noticed that Youtube videos on Firefox are far more washed out when compared to Google Chrome. HDR is enabled on my Monitor and in Windows 11; however, the issue is present for standard SDR videos as well. Any idea what is going on here?

Auto Play. Browser tabs to youtube videos, and maybe others are now playing automatically after update to Firefox 148.0 (64bit).

I'm exploring Steam Deck desktop mode more and I'm running into issues with Firefox not rendering some videos on my personal website. I wasn't sure if it was a Steam Deck, KDE Plasma, Firefox, or an issue with something else, so I tested the same website with Vivaldi and the video played without any issues. This makes me feel like it's probably Firefox, but not totally sure yet.

I've already tried adjusting the autoplay media permissions for the website from the default to "Allow Audio and Video" in case that was doing something. I've also tested in Troubleshoot mode to see if the one extension I have installed was causing any issues and that didn't change anything either. Any other ideas I can try? Or, is there some way to determine if this needs a bug fix/there's nothing I can do on my end?

While watching netflix, I randomly get error code F7361-1253 which prevents the video from playing. Can happen at any random time while watching. I have had firefox for years and have only got this issue in the past few months. It does not happen on other browsers like chrome.

I have tried disabling all extensions and troubleshoot mode, doesn't fix it. I didn't change any firefox settings since this started happening. DRM is enabled, widevine is the latest version, so is firefox, fully updated. I am using Windows 11 Home, 10.0.22631 Build 22631

Hello, I’m using Mozilla Firefox on Windows 10.

The issue happens mainly on YouTube: – Videos stutter every few seconds – Audio sometimes goes out of sync – This happens on 1080p and 720p – My internet speed is stable (~XX Mbps)

I use Firefox on both my work and home computer as well as my Android phone. I have for years, and until I got a Surface 8 Pro with Windows 11 Home (in case that matters), the behavior across devices was generally consistent, especially after I created a profile and signed into it across all of my devices. Firefox on that device, though, has given me a couple weird differences/issues.

First, I've noticed that the pop-up blocker seems much more "sensitive" on my home computer than on any other devices. A link I click on on my home computer will trigger the pop-up blocker, whereas my work computer will just send me to the link. An example where I see a different behavior is on the Wordle home page: https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html. When I click the light bulb at the top on my home computer, the pop-up blocker is triggered, but when I do the same from my work computer, it just goes straight to the link that icon is for.

Now more recently, I've found that sound from a webpage (say YouTube) played on my home computer comes out of the speakers regardless of whether there's a device in the audio jack, which of course my work computer does not do. I've confirmed it's a Firefox problem and not a larger device problem, as other programs output to the audio jack when something is plugged in there just fine.

I've tried resetting my device obviously, and I've even tried doing a Firefox refresh, progressively deleting more and more profile information, and finally uninstalling Firefox completely, removing the Mozilla folder in %APPDATA%, and removing the registry entries that Revo Uninstaller identified, to try to make it as close as possible to the "factory" default, all to no avail.

Images appear fine, but lately I cannot see embedded videos on websites when I'm browsing. This is a recent change (past couple of weeks).

I can view the same videos using another browser, so I think this is a firefox setting possibly.

I've just switched to Fedora 43 KDE plasma from Windows. On Windows, everything was totally find with videos on Firefox. After migration I kept having an error message "The media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features your browser did not support." not only on one site (else it could have been the site). After searching for solution here and on the Net, I found out that it's not related to Fedora but to Firefox when using Radeon RX7700XT on Linux (idem with several distros). And indeed, when installing other browser and testing them there was no problem, even with LibreWolf. So can you please take action as I like Firefox and I would not like to have to move everything to an other browser. And it seems that this problem has been around for at least two years ... which you should be ashamed of.

How can I tell Firefox to automatically set the volume to 2 or 3, and not play every video in every window full blast - which is maddening when I'm using Facebook and every video I click BLASTS! the sound WAY, WAY louder than any other devices I have outputting sound, such as Spotify music.
