Thanks for the help ! Tried your suggestions, but could not get pageBuilder to open ..so I solved the problem for now by going back to the older version of FF-

Java update 51 ratcheted up the security on Java applets, so that unsigned applets that used to generate a warning are now completely blocked.

Try clearing Firefox's cache, and emptying the Java cache before making a security exception.

(1) You can clear Firefox's cache completely using:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.

(2) To clear the Java cache, first open the Java Control Panel (in the Windows Control Panel in the Programs category, at least on Windows 7)

Then see this article for details: How do I clear the Java cache?

The reload the page and see whether Yahoo! offers an updated applet that doesn't have the security problem.

If that doesn't work, please see the following documentation from Oracle on your options.

Can you find a way to make it work?

Hi savealot, you installed Firefox 26 and the site works with Java 7 U51? Or did you roll back the Java update to U45? You can check the currently working version on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Plugins.
