Special text characters not viewing properly all of a sudden. Text looks almost pixelated on screen as well. Not the only one in the office having this problem.
Working fine, and then, not so fine...Not the only one in the office having this problem. All of a sudden, special text characters are viewing improperly. ie...and em dash looks like a diamond with a question mark thru it. Worked great and then, with no changes, it didn't work.

Sounds that you have a corrupted font and Firefox uses a different font instead.
Try to disable the website fonts as a test and try a few different default (serif/sans-serif) fonts. Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors: Advanced ([[ ] Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above) If that works then you need to reinstall the corrupted font.
