I have tried everything and cannot manage to load any webpage that prompts a reCAPTCHA. The tab immediately crashes.

1- I've tried several webpages. They all work well until a reCAPTCHA pops up, the tab crashes and creates a dump file 2- I tried uninstalling Firefox, including erasing profiles and all Mozilla folders then reinstalling, and selecting refresh. It sill happens. No addons or extensions, and HW acceleration on and off 3- The problems goes away if I run Firefox on Troubleshooting Mode

Version is 94.0.2 (64 bit) running on Windows 10 21H1 on an i7 1165G7

Am I missing something? Is there a way to do a cleaner install?

Thanks for the help!

Ok, I think I found the problem. Clearly it was in some way related to graphics. I downloaded the latest version of the Intel Drivers and the Intel Graphics Command Center, but that didn't fix it. So I reset all settings in the Command Center to default, but still no luck. Eventually I started playing around with the settings, and found a graphics option in the Global Settings tab called "Adaptive Tessellation". I deactivated that and it stopped crashing. Thanks for the help and apologies for the back and forth. I can go back to my Firefox life now.

I guess I'm not surprised that it was cause by Intel software...

The problem 100% goes away on Troubleshooting Mode, but here's my problem: I'm off a fresh install of Firefox which means no themes, no addons, and HW acceleration disabled already. So, something is changing in Troubleshooting Mode that isn't any of those three and I don't know what it is, but whatever it is, it's causing the issue. The webpages where I'm getting this issue with reCAPTCHA crashing the tab systematically are not amateur pages: discord, google, etc.

I created a new profile, reloaded Firefox with that new profile, I go to discord.com, try to login, and immediately when I click on "I'm a human" it crashes the tab. Randomly it'll crash the entire tab or just the captcha area. Here's is a photo of the error. Keep in mind, this happens with any webpage that has any kind of captcha or security. E.g.: Yahoo or Outlook login

If I try the exact same process in Troubleshooting Mode it works fine.

I don't know if that was meant for me but I'm not sure I understand your reply. It would seem that it might be something related to the Intel Display Drivers? I'll try installing an older version maybe?

Also, every crash seems to generate 3 crash reports, and 1 of them always fails to submit.

When a crash report fails to submit, it means the servers decided they don’t need that report.

About:Throttling “You're seeing this page because the crash report you selected was held back from submission. For statistical purposes, we don't need every crash report and sometimes we decline the submission of a crash report as a form of throttling." ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Bug 1662317 About Throttling Steps to reproduce:

My Firefox crashed but did not submit the crash report.

Actual results:

I tried to manually send the report, and the system gave me the message: About Throttling

Expected results:

If Mozilla does not need the report, I, the user, still want to know what happened. How else can I fix or understand what went wrong?
