How do I hide or delete the Open Menu button on the top right? It is an eyesore.
Use the Menu Toolbar more than the Open Menu button on the top right. Is there anyway to hide it or delete the button using the Customize feature? It is an eyesore to see the Open Menu button.

I already took a look at that complex UserChrome stuff and I don't think I followed the instructions correctly. I do need my hand held on this one. Show me exactly how to use that UserChrome CSS feature properly without excessive mumbo jumbo, so I can finally get rid of that wack Open Menu button.

Make a notepad file but with the extension .css so will have to turn on if it is not already see file extensions. Put the file into the folder. Copy and paste the code. Done.

View in any Folder in WIn 7 then somewhere have ability to turn off Hide known file Extensions if it is. You then can see that you are not making a file called userChrome.txt.css

I have the hidden extensions turned on. Just seems like whatever CSS I happen to copy does NOT take affect at all. I copied and pasted the exact codes offered on some of these pages and they are not working.
Make sure the file doesn't have a hidden .txt file extension (.css.txt) or a double .css.css file extension and that the file is located in the chrome folder in the AppData\Roaming location.
It is not that difficult to create userChrome.css if you have never used it.
The first step is to open the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" page and find the button to access the profile folder.
You can find this button under the "Application Basics" section as "Profile Folder -> Open Folder". If you click this button then you open the profile folder in the Windows File Explorer. You need to create a folder with the name chrome in this folder (name is all lowercase). In the chrome folder you need to create a text file with the name userChrome.css (name is case sensitive). In this userChrome.css text file you paste the text posted.
In Windows saving the file is usually the only time things get more complicated because Windows can silently add a .txt file extension and you end up with a file named userChrome.css.txt. To avoid this you need to make sure to select "All files" in the dialog to save the file in the text editor using "Save File as".
You need to close and restart Firefox when you create or modify the userChrome.css file.

All extensions are revealed and the CSS file does not have the .txt on the end, only the .css. It just seems like every time I try those codes, nothing is taking effect. I will keep trying and and again until something happens. Otherwise I'll do something else or give up trying.

Viola, I forgot to add the "chrome" directory to the root. Now that bastard Open Menu is gone. Now I can go back to being oldschool. I would also like a css code to make the search bar oldschool (drop down instead of selecting a search provider button) too.
