Hello. i noticed that my shortcuts are missing. i went to settings to check if it's enabled (check mark) and it is in fact enabled. tried to reset my computer and the shortcuts are still not there. on the main firefox page there is actually no shortcut icons on there...at all. all of the options in settings work with the exception (of course) the shortcuts. i would like to know why this is happening...thx

I want to drop ALL SPORTS CONTENT ON MY NEW PAGES & HOME PAGE. Every day I 'dismiss' every one. I 'thumbs down' every one. I've reported as SPAM, OUTDATED, tried to find modifications in 'settings'. I've clicked on the pencil at the bottom right corner...ZERO help. All I could find is the choice to "allow" or "not allow" recommended by & curated by staff. HELP ME MAKE IT STOP, PLEEZE.

3 of the sponsors I've encountered (amazon, Google, temu) (I'll be honest, I don't pay attention often so there's probably others) are incredibly well-known for having terrible practices. Amazon exploits its workers, pollutes a bunch, and even works with israel. google sells user data, and also pollutes a bunch and works with israel, and temu potentially uses slave labour, as well as polluting a bunch.

I understand Mozilla needs money to operate but I'm sure there are tonnes of ethical businesses it could promote

EVERY SINGLE TIME FIREFOX UPDATES THEY OPEN A NEW TAB AND ADVERTISE FEATURES AND GARBAGE I DO NOT CARE ABOUT.

DESPITE EVERY SETTING IMAGINABLE, IT STILL DOES IT. EVERY TIME.

WHY? WHY DO YOU NOT RESPECT YOUR USER'S REQUESTS AND CONTINUE TO DO THIS?

WE ALL REMEMBER THE TIME YOU SHOVED ADVERTISEMENTS INTO IT.

I"D RATHER PAY FOR FIREFOX THAN HAVE THIS RIDICULOUS GARBAGE HAPPEN EVERY TIME YOU UPDATE THE APPLICATION.

MAKE A SETTING FOR THIS OR SOMETHING THAT YOU WON'T JUST IGNORE OR OVERRIDE THE NEXT TIME YOU WANT TO SPAM YOUR ENTIRE USER BASE

The New Tab Page is a fantastic tool. Are there any plans to allow more than four rows to their layout? I would benefit greatly by having 13 rows. Might there be any plans for that?

I installed Firefox on a fresh Win 11 install, and most of the the favicons are still generic on the Home Page several days later. Facebook, Ebay and Youtube are the only ones that appear consistently, sometimes other will display, but then be gone again the next time the app is launched. All other links just have the generic letter icons.

I tried deleting the 3 favicon files in the Profiles folder, but it did nothing. I've tried manually re-adding the links, still nothing. I removed the "S" from "https;//" and still nothing. The favicons all show up on my other machines which use Firefox on the same user account, so it is not a problem with the websites themselves.

Not sure if its related, but upon installing Firefox on this machine, it made Firefox on my Mac desktop absolutely freak out. I had to make a significant number of changes over the course of hours to fix everything, so many relating to favicons alone that I don't know what actually fixed it.

What else can I do to try and get these working? Why does Firefox apparently struggle with this particular feature across multiple OSes?

Today, all of a sudden, I lost my usual browser window that displayed all my bookmarks. The browser window looked completely different in a bad way and I have lost quick access to my most familiar sites. Moreover, the page displays sponsored ads, none of which is either of my choosing or of my liking. I am completely disoriented and Firefox has greatly disappointed me. Please help!

I live in Las Vegas. Why does M Firefox post the wrong city with the weather at the top right corner of my browser window? It will not allow me to change it either. I drop it open, change the zip, press "enter" and it remains Tuscon.

I read the FAQ about this feature. I read this about whether the stories are personalized to me:

... When personalization does occur, recommendations rely on a process of story sorting and filtering that happens locally in your personal copy of Firefox.

But there is no place that tells me how to turn this off if I don't want the stories personalized to me, and I do not want them personalized. The algorithms make assumptions about what I want to read and learn. But I want to be free to encounter and learn things that I might not otherwise come across.

How can I avoid being pigeonholed and limited in this way?

On google search bar- where is the microphone, or dictation icon. How do I add it. I have windows 11 and using Mozilla firefox as my default web browser. I have search the settings and cannot find it. Please send instructions to add it to the bar. If I were to use chrome/google they have it and I know Firefox did have it. Thank you

I've unchecked all three boxes, but the two sub-boxes stay checked and the sponsored stories and links continue to appear even though I unchecked the boxes. See attached image. How do I disable? Why can't I uncheck these boxes? I was actually just trying to disable it for a few, not all of my computers, but, now that it's being forced on me, I'm a bit unhappy with Firefox. I've supported, promoted, and used them for years but now they seem to be following the same path of other prying browsers. :(

hello - since yesterday, the links on the startpage don't show anymore, even though they were perfectly fine the day before yesterday, when I shut down the laptop.

i can't find where I could change anything, since in the settings, the 4 lines are still activated, nothing has changed except they're suddenly not showing anymore.... ?

what can I do???

I did try to search through the articles, didn't see anything that could help me.

I would even save them and open a new profile if there's no way to fix it, if only I could find where those links on the startpage are stored...
