Why do I only get a third of the screen on a printed page, so I have three pages for each screen?

Since installing the latest version of Firefox on my Inspiron E1505 running Windows XP, whenever I try to print a screen, I can't get a full-size copy of the screen on a page. The page prints out on multiple pages. For instance, in Print Preview, this web page shows as 15 pages. This is unacceptable when you are trying to print out return labels from shopping websites. The printer is a Brother HL 2070N. The Print Preview shows exactly how the screen will print so I tried adjusting the scale in the print preview to get everything on one page, but what I get is print too tiny to read.
