Keep getting "Something went wrong" when attempting to login to acct. Have changed P/W, used verification, etc.

Every time I tried to login using my old stored P/W, I got something went wrong message. When I changed my P/W, I answered all, including my age, got the six digit code, entered it where required, changed my P/W, verified it, tried to login to my Firefox account again only to get the same message. All I want to do is to try and use the new "SEND" feature in the update. I have over the years had many problems with Firefox updates when trying out new enhanced features to the point I have nearly given up on it, using it for primary "legacy" email.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.
