How to ftp updated file to server?
I was able to download file, edit, and save on my (XP) computer. Can't get my edited file back to my server.

Firefox does not contain a built-in FTP client. However, there is an add-on for that if you prefer to use your browser for this (instead of a stand-alone application):

I want to FTP an updated file from my Windows XP computer.
Hi MagJack, cor-el listed a stand-alone FTP program, and I listed a Firefox add-on. You could use either of those to FTP the file back to the server.
Is there a different way that you prefer to do it? You could use Internet Explorer if that worked for you before.
My web page was done by others years ago; I have lost contact with them. All this http is new to me. I have Windows XP and that may be my problem. I tried the FireFox add-on and it appeared to work but, when I checked, no change. The stand-alone wasn't supported with XP, so I didn't download it. I'm not looking for a preference, I just want to be able to make a simple change on one page every year or so. I design big industrial magnets. I have no desire to design web sites; I just want to make a little change. (Am I whining?) Jack at Magnetic-Engineering.Com (MagJack)
When you check whether the page changed, try reloading using Ctrl+Shift+r in case Firefox is showing you the version it previously cached. Or test in a browser that hasn't seen the page recently. If still no change, then the old page was not replaced successfully.
