Have always had a toolbar across top of screen under url box with my most used sites. It recently disappeared and now I can only access them via drop down list

Hello,

If the bar is completely missing:

  • Right click anywhere on your toolbar (other than inside the Search bar or Address bar) to bring up a context menu
  • Select "Bookmarks toolbar"

Alternatively (and this is also if your bar is there but not showing any bookmarks):

  • Go to your configuration page, either by:
    • Enter about:customizing in your address bar
    • New Fx Menu > Customize
  • Click the "Show/hide toolbars" at the bottom of the page and make sure "Bookmarks Toolbar" is checked
  • On this same page, make sure that "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" is on the Bookmark Toolbar

How can you "right click" on a toolbar that doesn't exist? Once again, I have lost my Firefox toolbar completely, and would appreciate some helpful suggestions in restoring it.

See:

You can right-click any toolbar including the tab bar and also go too the customization mode.

  • "3-bar" Firefox menu button > Customize > Show/Hide Toolbars
  • View > Toolbars
Tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu Bar
  • Right-click empty toolbar or tab bar area
