I am at a complete loss on this. A recent firefox update has shifted all my site logins and passwords elsewhere in mystery and impossible to recover nor find them. I tried "Restore bookmarks, passwords and data from an old Firefox profile" but the profile is simply not there and the instructions completely haywire. I have nothing on the profile page. What have you lot done to make this completely unusable for the small person ? I thought I was computer savvy but now firefox is making things unnecessarily invisible and over-complex.

HELLO, DUE TO YOUR UPGRADE, WHICH CAME TO ME TODAY, alllllllll OF MY BOOKMARKS HAVE BEEN LOST, OR SOMETHING. Who has the TIME? to read your instructions, which usually don't follow through with any results.

I can't say enough trashy things to you that I don't have the time to deal with this issue.

There was an update and I thought I had to create a profile but no. So now I have lost all my very important bookmarks and I do not seems to be able to retrieve them. Only one date top retrieve which is only yesterday

ich hatte bereits Anfang des Jahres beim Einrichten meines Laptops Probleme damit, meine Lesezeichen wiederherzustellen. Damals habe ich es jedoch mithilfe eines älteren Profils geschafft.

Nun musste ich den Laptop neu aufsetzen und finde die passende Sicherungsdatei der Lesezeichen nicht mehr. Ich wollte die Lesezeichen daher wieder wie gewohnt zurückholen. Leider gibt es jedoch kein älteres Profil als 24 Stunden. Das bedeutet, dass alle Lesezeichen verschwunden sind.

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, auf ein Profil zuzugreifen, das ein oder zwei Wochen oder sogar vier Monate alt ist? Und vor allem wie komm ich da ran?

Lost all tabs during an update including(weirdly) all theme stuff. Its not in the restore in history. But the themes part is the one that is strange, because why would themes change during an update, all while all my tabs are lost?

After the last update - all my 12 years of data is gone? No bookmarks or anything? No warning to do a backup? That's ridiculous guys. The only option you provided me with is 32 character recovery key I set up in 2022? Well I dont have it. Can't recover it. And if you don't intend to assist in some way - it's Game Over Firefox for me!

I had a problem with my Zotac PC and had to do a reset, when done none of my passwords or bookmarks came back after the resety even though Firefox asked for my password and email to send me a code but everything is gone and I have way to reach some of my frequently used sites, can you please help? The "one sentence" in the heading states the problem. I am unable to use Firefox. Using Safari to make this post.

Firefox loads. It opens windows (I had fourteen open when I last used it successfully; I have many, many tabs). Then it removes each window from the screen. Firefox is in the Menu bar, but no windows are displayed. The windows still show in the list when selecting Window in the menu bar. Selecting a window in that list has no visible effect. File>New Window opens a new window, which works as expected. With one new window open, File>New Window opens a second.

Typing a few characters in the address bar opens a dropdown with a list of tabs, each with the affordance, Switch to Tab. Clicking on one takes down the list but does not open a window.

I would like, for a start, instructions on how to use Firefox starting afresh with no windows. First: having set aside the data that causes this problem. I suppose that might be simply a new profile. But would like instructions from a person interested in pursuing the problem with me while I continue with the rest of my life.

I'm willing to delete some data from the failing profile, is there is reason to do that, but would like to preserve at least a list of the URLs of the tabs of the windows. Or to learn how to see those in the profile data.

I see four profiles:

I just made your suggested "reorganisation" of the Firefox Browser with the result that all my hard collation of all my bookmarks, website and passwords are presently gone!!! I can only hope that you have a possibility to recover my datas.

Please advise your instruction to recover my websites, bookmarks etc.
