So Mozilla supports privacy rights- and I've supported Mozilla for that reason- but they want Whatsapp to be censored for "misinformation" ? How does that go together? Whatsapp was supposed to be encrypted and not even Whatsapp was supposed to know the content of messages. How would they know about misinformation? And how do they get to decide what's misinformation now?

I'm talking about how when you go to fill out a text input, it'll suggest that input next time you go to a similar field. Well, that system just saved my social security number as an input after I filled out a government form. I would like to turn this feature off now, and delete the history of it if I can. Is there a way I can do that?

I have been getting some spam/phish emails using Display Name Spoofing of some senders I recognize.

In each case the display name is in my personal address book, but the email address of this spam does not match and is different each time. The people being spoofed are aware this is going on but since the spam emails do not originate from their PCs or sometimes not even their ISPs, there isn't any easy fix on their end.

It would be useful to have an inbox filter that would check the personal address book for known display names and made sure the email address matched. Just highlighting a mismatch would be helpful.

I hope someone can help, I've changed all the settings in Thunderbird for my whole family's emails (hotmail.co.uk, hotmail.com, live.co.uk) from Normal Password to OAuth2. All incoming and outgoing servers are exactly the same as Microsoft advised. None of my accounts work, neither for sending or receiving.

I removed one account and tried to re-add it (that was the advice given if the first method didn't work) but when it tries to check the password, it takes forever. I've tried to manually configure it but it wouldn't download any folders or emails. I removed it and tried to re-add it but have been unable to do even that.

My default account hasn't been able to send more than 25% of emails for a few weeks. I'm up to date with all updates and I've restarted Thunderbird and my laptop countless times.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Hi, does the Version 128 Android also has the ad web tracking thing which came with opt-out option in the desktop version? I do not see any info about it, and in data privacy etc section in the mobile browser is no option. As config no longer is possible (thanks) I also can't check it.

Why, each time that I try to log in to Xfinity, do I get a banner across the bottom of the screen asking my cookie choices before I can even log in to Xfinity. Same goes for Safari when trying to log in to Xfinity or Comcast.

This is so strange. Usually cookie selection is after you sign in not before...

I have an issue trying to configure a secondary email account, for a non-profit I do some work for. It was ok in the past, though I recall was tricky to set up on TB a couple of years ago. But now it has ceased to function after I migrated TB profile (successfully apart from this issue) no matter what I try. I’d be grateful for any suggestions. As is the case with many non-profits, there’s little tech support, but others can use the email account ok. I think it may be a TB issue as I have been able to set up the account ok with MS new Windows Outlook app (lame, but better than Mail…low bar). I’d rather have this account on my TB client along with the others I use. And the issue is replicated on two of my PCs. TB account set up reports “can’t detect settings from host server”. I found a support thread link text, which says “The failure to detect settings is rather common where hosted domains are concerned. Mostly because everything is done to a price and most of the things around encryption are done in a halfhearted manner. As is the server setups for mail. However by faithfully copying the settings from the provider as to domains server name and ports it should work.” So I did manual configuration – copied the settings from the successful Outlook set up, but no dice – all I get is server time out message. Settings are: IMAP server: mail.XXXX.org.uk Port 993 Security SSL/TLS [earlier working settings were STARTTLS port 143] SMTP server: mail.XXXX.org.uk Port 465 Security SSL/TLS [[earlier working settings were STARTTLS port 587] And using Normal Password for both; I tried Autodetect too but no good. I’ve see a suggestion that turning off the firewall (Norton) might work, but I’m reluctant to do that and doesn’t seem to make sense that would cause the issue. So I was trying to test webauthn so I went to webauthn.io and then signed up with my username but firefox then tells me touch your security key to continue with webauthn.io but it works very well google chrome. and shows me a qr code and then I scan it in my phone. And after some search I think that the problem is that firefox defaults to use the security key which is a physical device but i don't want to use it I want to get the QR code. Also I tried different websites but got the same problem.

And by the way I use arch linux but I don't think that the problem is with arch as I mentioned before everything worked very well in google chrome.

How do I delete, remove, or otherwise disable that garbage "review checker" from the latest firefox update. It's useless, un-needed thing that I don't trust.
