I am at a loss as to why this started to happen only a few weeks ago after a years of working fine, and why it should happen at all:

given a link to an HTML file where the headers include content-disposition set to attachment and the server (NextCloud30) mistakenly setting content-type to text/plain, what downloads is not the HTML file, but a text rendering of that HTML file, which is, of course, completely useless to the purpose and makes no sense whatsoever that it should happen. Why would anyone download a file and expect to the be interpreted?

But more to the point, how do I stop this behaviour. The above link, on my home cloud so be gentle, will work just fine on Firefox/Linux, but on Firefox/Android it will download as a 7k rendering of the file, renamed with the txt extension. The link itself is just a few holiday classics in the iRealPro format, which is, sadly, and HTML file. Up until two weeks ago, I would post a link in our band group chat, band members would click the link, be asked if they should launch iReal, and then iReal would ask if they would like to import this playlist.

what happens now is I post the NextCloud public link, they click and get a landing page that correctly describes the file as 20k HTML and has that previous link as the Download button. Clicking that gets you 7k of useless text.

I can't say for certain that this is a few 'feature' of a recent Firefox update or something that was changed in a minor update to Nextcloud. I believe it may also happen on Safari, but I haven't confirmed that, all I know is the link does not work on mobile for most users.

I just installed Firefox. What I noticed right away while using it was that fonts were very blurry/hard to read on all web pages, and even in firefox's menus and URL bar.

I attached two pictures, one is a screenshot in Firefox, and the other is a screenshot in Brave. (All chromium web browsers I have tried don't have firefox's font problem)

I get PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR when trying to load certain websites. I don't use any proxy or VPN, I tried disabling DoH. Also sometimes i get 403 forbidden cloudflare.

I am unable to log in to my router with Firefox. This is a very recent development. When I go to the router's address, it says Unable to connect. I am on a Mac Studio (OS 15.1), running Firefox 132.0.1. The same thing is happening with Edge, but I can get to the router just fine with Safari and Chrome.

If anyone know why this is happening, your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

P.S. I did make some changes a couple of weeks ago in about:config, but I don't know what settings I changed. I was trying to find out why the computer was constantly accessing my optical drives (I thought it was when a web browser was open, but it turned out to be all of the time). I am having a continuing problem using fire fox to access websites. I go to a site to use one of their tools and have issues using or logging in to their site. I will go to a site where an accept cookies banner should pop up to continue and nothing pops up so I can't continue. I have tried the disable Enhanced Protection with no change in results. If I use Duck Duck Go, or Edge everything works. Firefox is my default browser, but it appears that you have made a change that is now impacting my ability to use websites. Sometimes things work if I go into Troubleshooting mode, but I can't determine where the problem is. I use Norton as my anti-virus and internet security and have turned it off as part of my troubleshooting but that does not help.

Please provide guidance.

I only opened 5 pages (fixed tabs), and only enabled two plug-ins, Proxy SwitchyOmega and AdGuard AdBlocker. The browser was always open, and the pages were static, and nothing was playing. The strange thing is that it didn't take up much memory at the beginning, but it took up more and more memory over time. Today the system got stuck and couldn't respond (it might be that the system used virtual memory).

I used the browser's task manager, which showed that the Shared Web Process memory of several pages was very high, some as high as 4G, and the GPU memory was also higher than before.

I think this is very strange. Why does the memory usage increase exponentially after the webpage has been there for a while?

My settings and usage habits have basically not changed. I didn't have this problem before, but it has appeared in the past six months. I have updated many versions, but the problem still exists. I have always used Firefox. If it continues like this, I will be very disappointed and have to make changes.

I tried in another browser and Google Drive is online. Not on Firefox since the latest update.

in inbox suddenly some mails became empty and cannot be deleted nor moved nor archived, other messages not affected. It happened earlier and was asked to delete the inbox folder, that worked. I have sound in Windows, but YouTube is dead quit. I have tried all that is suggested in Firefox help and some YouTube sites. Nothing worked. I have tried off the computer and restarted, but no change. My system is Windows 11, sound works, and the latest Firefox update installed. Question is this a YouTube tacit to stop NoScript and uBlock?

I opened Thunderbird and could not get to the inbox or any other folders—it shows only the donations page. This is not okay. I do donate. Not much, not too often, but I do. However, if I open e-mail client and want to use it, then this is not a right moment to asking for donations. Or I should be able to do what I came to do and deal with donations issue later.

If you want users to pay for Thunderbird, it is of course okay, but please let us know in advance, give some time to mull it over and then clear the sheets. It is most inconvenient when this kind of issue is raised when you actually need to do something. And the message is unclear - how often and how much I need to donate (pay) in order to get to use Thunderbird without interruptions?

I hope someone answers me in Dutch. I cannot open my mail, because I cannot close the "welkom bij Thunderbird" page, that showed when i opened my mailprogramm. Recently when I download messages they are blank in the inbox, but when opened they are in source code! This happens with all accounts. It was working correctly up until 7th August. The only update since then was for .net! I'm running latest Windows 11. When I uninstall, then reinstall Thunderbird, initially any messages download correctly, but any further downloads revert back to the problem in question. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Ray

If I need to upload a file I click on the OPEN or BROWSE button in the website, Open File dialogue opens trying to list the location it is already looking at, and it hangs for over 30 seconds before listing files. This is windows 11, but it did it when i had windows 10 too. I dont know what to do.

I'm having much difficulty in attaching a article I see to Facebook. Its possible the problem may be I'm not using the right instruction on the Firefox options when I right click the article I want to attach to Facebook. Some of those options are, Save link as, Copy link, when I right click for options. Can someone explain what is the right option to use? And, how do I proceed once I choose the correct option to make that attachment to a Facebook message I'm replying to? There are times a picture of the article will attach to the Facebook message, but the text that is associated with the attachment will not appear? Can someone please help? Thank you.
