Hi,Sorry to post this again,But I have spent over 4 hours trying every thing I can to correct it Since the last update,It totally Changed all my settings I managed to correct them,all BUT one & even though I have tried & Tried,I cannot remove SEARCH BAR on Toolbar Menu I have Been Through all Firefox Settings But Nothing Works & I have even removed all extensions,but NOTHING WORKS It was never on it before until the Update & it is a total Nuisance plesaea assist Thank you Darryl

I'm having problems getting my signature to appear in Thunderbird as it does in my soon-to-be former email client. I've attached pics of the signature as it should appear and as it appears when imported to Thunderbird. I can edit the HTML code, but I'm not sure how to correct things like the image not importing when the link is correct and how to get rid of the dotted line border that shows up in Thunderbird when it does not appear in my current email client signature. I attempted to attach my HTML file, but cannot. I can post the code, if that would be beneficial. HELP!

I am on 140.7.1esr (64-bit). My sub-folders under Inbox is not sorted alphabetically. I do not see any option to re-sort at the pop-up menu after I right-click at the account name. Does this mean the version I am on does not have this feature?

Currently we can send or reply to emails as plain text on Thunderbird for Android. Can we please update it to allow viewing Emails as plain text (disabling HTML) as on the desktop versions of Thunderbird, to allow for easier viewing of emails with formatting?

I had tbird set up just how I liked it on my laptop. Then the laptop screen hinge broke and I had to replace it. Have installed tbird on new machine but cannot find the setting I need. I want the message preview pane to be on the bottom instead of on the right side of screen. I also need to know how to import my contacts from the old machine.

Open your TB profile:

- TB menu > Help > Troubleshooting Information

- click the Application Basics > Profile Folder 'Open Folder' button

- close TB and rename the folderCache.json file to folderCache.jsox

Restart TB and the list should be gone. Note this will also remove the list from the R. click > Copy To list.

These are the 3 files in the profile folder. I'm confused ..which file do I rename? TB is closed This file folderCache.jsox .json - create date 01/13/2026 was created when I used above procedure on 1/13/2026...

I already have a folderCache.jsox file ... renaming it leads to file being unusable. '

folderCache.jsox .json - create date 01/13/2026

folderCache.json - create date 02/02/2026

To start, both Windows and Firefox are running latest versions as of now.

I recently found that Firefox had a list of frequent sites being displayed by right-clicking on any of the Firefox tabs in the Windows taskbar. I found that to disable this, I need to use the "browser.taskbar.lists.frequent.enabled" flag in "about:config". Setting this to false indeed disabled this, but it was replaced by "Recent" tabs instead. There is also "browser.taskbar.lists.recent.enabled" flag but this does not affect whether or not the Recent tabs list is displayed. Nor does "browser.taskbar.lists.enabled", nor does changing the max number of list items.

The closest I can seem to get it to displaying nothing here is to keep the Frequent list active, and set it to a max of "1" item. Anything else displays a long list of Recent items.

I don't think this is correct behaviour for these flags... If anyone has any other ideas here, that'd be great, thanks!

I use Thunderbird with Threaded View enabled and would like to keep using it.

What I am looking for is a way to have Thunderbird automatically keep older threads collapsed, while allowing threads that contain new or unread messages to remain expanded or become expanded automatically.

For example, a thread receives a new message - it is fine for that thread to be expanded. All other existing threads without new activity should remain collapsed. When Thunderbird is restarted, I would like older threads to stay collapsed rather than having many previously viewed threads expanded.

Is there a setting, hidden preference, add-on, or workaround that provides this behavior?

I am using Thunderbird on Kubuntu Linux.

Every time a new email comes into my machine a little square pops up on the lower right hand corner of my screen and makes an annoying noise as it gives me the name of the sender of the email. I do not want these notices and I did not have them on my previous computer. How do I get rid of them?

Hi Team My Thunderbird account has a font corruption. Whenever I open a new message, The font appears as a weird shadowy type - See image attached. The signature is saved image. I can't set a Tahoma or Verdana or any from the overall font list as the base font. However, when I send the email, the recipient sees a normal tahoma font. Help!

Hi,

I’m experiencing an issue while trying to print emails to PDF in Thunderbird. Instead of opening the print preview or print dialog, Thunderbird sends the email straight to the default printer. Because of this, I don’t get the option to choose my PDF printer or adjust print settings.

This started after updating to a newer Thunderbird version, and earlier versions did not behave this way. The menu still shows Print…, which normally indicates a preview or settings window, so this feels like unexpected behavior.

Has anyone else faced this issue, or is there a setting or workaround to restore the print preview before printing? Any help would be appreciated.
