Can cache2 be deleted manually, or must it be deleted by Settings / General / Disk Space / Clear Now?

I have a specific inbox from which I would like to ignore notifications. I have downloaded the NTFNTF extension, which helps with notifications, but I still see the little red bubble with the total number of unread e-mails next to the application icon (I'm on macOS, see the supposedly-attached screenshot). Is there a way to have this indicator only show unread e-mails from a specific inbox, even if the solution requires installing an extension? Thank you in advance.

The Send bar has disappeared KAMI 30 sep. 2025 19:35:12 Hi, to customize the toolbar in Thunderbird: Right-click on an empty space next to the Search bar in the toolbar. Select Customize… (Toolbar) from the context menu. A window will appear showing all available buttons and the current toolbar layout. You can drag and drop buttons to add, remove, or rearrange them. When you’re done, click Done to save your changes. This is the quickest way to restore missing buttons like Send, Attach, or any other tools you use frequently.

Unfortunately, the bottons like Send and Attach are not available here in my application!

I manage 8 emails accounts for the dfferent projects - I collapse all the account folders when I close down T/B. When I reload T/B all the email account folders all open up. Is there a setting to prevent this?

I have missing buttons or shortcuts in my Thunderbird. There was a refresh button and a new message button on my tool bar, they have disappeared. Is there a way to get them back? Thank you!

Focus is my default browser, and I use it exclusively for just that (open links from 3rd party apps). When I need to dive deeper into a website, I simply open it in another browser. My only complaint? There’s a menu option that says "Open in default browser"—which is pointless when this *is* the default. It would be much better if Focus could check whether it was already set as default and, if so, open the page in Safari (or whatever the current default browser is at the time of clicking “set default browser” in Focus settings). That small tweak would make it perfect. Otherwise, it does exactly what I need—simple and efficient.

How do I turn on the format text toolbar/menu in Thunderbird 128.9.1 running on Ubuntu 24? When I compose a new message, this menu doesn't seem to be available. I've tried using automatic and HTML only in Settings -> Composition -> sending format. In View -> Toolbars I no longer have a format text option (as I did with TB running on Win10)

Within Tool Settings create an option to choose one of the current six choices to become the default view. Currently "General" is the only default view upon entering Tools,Settings. As is with me I suspect the most revisited choice within Tools, Settings is "Privacy & Security". Would be immensely pleasing if I could select "Privacy & Security" as default view when entering Tools,Settings .

Hi! Downloaded Thunderbird on a newdesktop computer, also had it on my old desktop computer, I used to read the emails underneath the email title.

Now it comes on the right side of the screen, i dont manage to change it myself.

Hi All, I just installed Thunderbird on a new laptop and I'm away from my desktop, where everything works fine. I do receive messages but .. I see messages, regardless in card view or list view ... but NO message content ... meaning ... in the same window, after selecting a message...right beside it. Yes, I can view the content but only when right-clicking the message > open > open in (options). But that is not how it always was, how it works at home on my laptop, not how it should be. I should see the message content as soon as I select one.

Suddenly all the items in the inbox have become jumbled. Chronological order has become completely lost. As there are many, many items in inbox (over 400--is this the reason for the problem?), it's now pretty much impossible to find anything. What to do to restore the normal order?

Mam problem z odnośnikami graficznymi w wiadomościach e-mail. Kiedyś jak klikałem lewym przyciskiem myszy to byłem przenoszony od razu do przeglądarki, w której była wyświetlana odpowiednia strona. A teraz pojawia się ikona lupy+ i obrazek jest powiększany zamiast przenoszenia do przeglądarki. Chciałbym powrócić do poprzednich ustawień, ale nie mogę nigdzie tego znaleźć. Pozdrawiam Marcin

I have a problem with graphic links in emails. In the past, when I clicked with the left mouse button, I was immediately taken to the browser, which displayed the appropriate page. Now, the magnifying glass icon + appears and the image is enlarged instead of being taken to the browser. I would like to return to the previous settings, but I can't find it anywhere.
