I'm having trouble opening urls in a private window from the command line on Windows 11.

Firefox version: 144.0.2

Starting a new private window works fine with "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -private-window

But doing: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -private-window "https://www.google.com"

just opens the link in the last selected window if the last window selected is non private it just opens the link there instead of a new or existing private window

I have also tried with no success: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -private "https://www.google.com"

When I log into a website, say amazon.com, and it prompts me to add a passkey, my only option is local windows machine.

If I use Chrome, I can choose between Google PW manager and hardware key.

Once I save the passkey in Chrome, it works just fine in Firefox.

Is this expected behavior? I used FF for personal browsing and don't really want to move to Chrome.

Hi, new Firefox Win 11 user, new laptop, how do I enable main touchscreen gestures, swipe, pinch etc. All other apps, browsers work, so HW / drivers work. Can't find how on user forums, or in settings.

I bought a new computer 7-1-25 and I wanted to contact you about problems with your update, but it rejected my Acct Key - and when I looked at the email I got with the acct key it said Windows 10 - which tells me someone hacked my old acct because I have Windows 11 as of 7-1-25!

On all three computers, I have "Always ask you where to save files." On all three computers, it never asks and always stores in Download.

On my work computer, Outlook's problem is that all hyperlinks open in browsers while we use Sharepoint links. I want the pdfs to open in Acrobat. I've changed the Applications section, just below Downloads, to use Acrobat for pdf files. I was hoping that would mean Outlook would tell Firefox, my default browser, to open the pdf, FF would see it's a pdf, and it would open Acrobat. That's not happening.

Any clues how to resolve either?

My browser is being managed by "your organization" but I belong to NO organization. How do I regain control of my own browser?

144.0.2 firefox version has an issue with bookmarks keep, they keep dissapearing & i have to use firefox fix from uninstall option to restore. unable to use email links as it requests that i close firefox window before it can open links, when i do this all bookmarks are gone & i then have to start again. I'm running win11 25h2 with all updates done both chrome & edge are not causing issues

How can I get rid of that logo? I tried the "flip flag to false" and it didnt work.. I have downloaded BRAVE and will use if for now.. When someone can explain how to remove it, I will use Firefox again.. I don't like it... I like a clean home page, and would think I can have the option of removing it.

Trying to set up Firefox on new computer. Haven't used log-in for years. My email account is closed. So code is sent to defunct email. How can I get access to my account so I can change my email address and get Firefox synced to my new computer?
