I can't get firefox to play amazon music web page or netflix because it claims to be installing an app which it never completes. I've tried to purge cache for the site in question, to no avail. What is the solution?

Firefox was once the most popular browser in the world, but then Mozilla started releasing updates every week and became disgusting. Now Mozilla has a tiny piece of the market, they have essentially lost almost everything, but they continue to shit with updates like diarrhea, which most users do not need and it's impossible to refuse the annoying, ugly constant reminder about updates. I'm not even talking about the fact that after a refusal to update to a new version, there is a forced update to a new version without permission. So, why doesn't this company learn from its mistakes and become at least a little smarter?

can someone please tell me why firefox is trying to install this unwanted file.....i run bitedefender everyday and everyday this pops up it is ANNOYING Online Threat Prevention

firefox.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an expired certificate to sync.contextualadv.com. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since websites must renew their certificates with a certification authority to stay current, and outdated security certificates represent a risk. Add to exceptions

I have an older piece of equipment that I need to communicate with it and the 232 interface will only work through Firefox. I was told I can downgrade the current version to 3.0, which is what I need, but I cannot find out how. HELP

Dunno if this is by design, but a lot of installers don't play well when installed from standard user account with elevated privieleges. Firefox installer on Windows 10, when ran from GUI or admin PowerShell, accesses AppData fodler under standard user account that started the elevated process. Thus, it's not possible to install it if admin account doesn't have access to user folder, as on my system it doesn't for security reasons.

It's a minor inconvenience to need to explicitly log into admin account and do it there. But as this is a disease among installers I'd rather have them play well with normal security.

You may disagree here, and I understand if you do. Just pointing it out.

This is my first post so bare with me.  :-)

We are deploying the 32-bit version of the Firefox Browser to 4 700 clients and the 64-bit version to only 8 clients; all clients on a 64-bit Windows 10 environment. We will migrate to Windows 11 22H2 this year. The manager for the 8 clients says he wants the 64-bits version just because it's...64-bits. No other reason.

I've read that the 64-bit version can not handle Java, Media Players like VLC and mayby some other plugins. Is that still so?

What is the main reason TODAY for using 64-bit Firefox Browser instead of 32-bit, except for the use of 4 GB+ RAM?

Can I download Firefox and save it to a flash-drive instead of installing it? The computer I need it on has a new install of Windows 7 with IE and it will not browse.

Is there any way to find out if a point release is coming? In other words, I'm running 142.0.1. I'd like to know if a 142.0.2 is going to be released. Not necessarily when, but just if one is in the works and will be released at some point.

Why am I getting these notifications? I have the latest version, but this prompt not only asks me to update, but there's no mention that it will install the beta 125.0 beta 1

When i do update my configuration settings changing by itself. Example, "browser.cache.disk.enable" is "false" but after every updates its always changing to "true". This happens only after updates.

I have many - sqlite - various addresses on my computer, can I delete these? I am being told by Microsoft that I am out of storage and I need to delete some items.

I tried to log onto Youtube so I could make a few comments on a football game. They had to send me a code to my email (HOTMAIL) BTW I never received a code to LOG into YouTube. I used "Snip & Sketch" as I have many many times before but now I open a photo to edit it and Microsoft has taken over my photos. I mean as far as my editing capabilities. I have not been able to sign in to my firefox account. I recently re-installed windows and tried to log in in firefox but its giving the error "The request was blocked for security reasons". How do i fix it? Help me i have important bookmarks and websites that i don't want to lose.
