Hello. I have a problem with the chat.deepseek.com website - every time I launch the browser, the language settings are reset from the system (or Russian) language set manually to English. Interestingly, this problem only occurs in Firefox, while other browsers work as expected. Additionally, the test profile created again also works properly. What I have done: 1. Reinstalled the browser, but it did not help 2. Deleted the folders responsible for Local Storage in the profile folder - didn't help 3. Cleared the cookies - helped until the first restart, then it was the same. History is enabled, and cookies are not cleared when the browser is closed. How can I solve this issue without deleting my profile? I don't want to lose my bookmarks, passwords, and website settings. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I find that three or four times a month, the links to all my bookmarks disappear. The bookmark folders and bookmark names are still shown but there are no URLs. If I restore to a few days previously they are work again. Why?

I currently have Firefox 149.0.2 rapid release channel on Win10 Pro ESU.

I want to switch to the ESR channel.

How do I do that?

Is there anything I should be aware of to avoid problems?

Dear Firefox friends, I am rather computer illiterate and use the internet only for emails and purchasing from Amazon. I have avoided installing Firefox updates, as they disable my sound and change language to Albanian, where I live, but don’t speak Albanian. Can you solve this, or will I have to just avoid installing updates? I have no concern for security; anyone can hack into anything they want, but it will do them no good; I don’t have anything that is sensitive, and my bank has everything well secured (and minimal funds anyway). Do you have a permanent solution – I don’t want to fix every update? I know you hate non-nerds like me, but I'm 80, and have neither the time nor inclination to be one!!!! Searches using the provided Amazon search feature found in settings will always have "tag=admarketus-20" in the url. Example: https://www.amazon.com/s?tag=admarketus-20&ref=pd_sl_ [bunch of letters and numbers] &mfadid=adm&k= [search query] Now, if this were an affiliate tag for Mozilla specifically, I would understand, but googling the "admarketus-20" tag turns up posts showing that users on various other browsers (Vivaldi, Opera, Chrome) also reporting seeing this tag popping up in their searches too. I wondered if this was due to malware, but I did a fresh Firefox installation on a newly installed Win10 machine and it happens there too. Who/what is this tag for?

My microphone does not work properly in Firefox, it sounds periodically really low and that doesnt depend on my mic settings. It seems like that is Automatic Gain Control or something like that and idk how to disable it. On screenshot im just speaking as usual but the browser lowers the volume -_-

Hi, I'm using a policie file to force a family-dns. Ive written the current code down below. Unfortunately this leaves the "manage exeption"-button open, where its possible to simply bypass the block for a specific site. Is there a way to lock this button in the policie file? I am not concerned with anyone in my household gaining access to my passwords. If I somehow give a scammer remote access to my computer, does creating a primary password prevent that person from seeing any user names or passwords that I may have accidentally stored on my computer? I am concerned with third party scammers, not anyone physically gaining access to my laptop.

ich habe regelmäßig das Problem, dass Firefox quasi meinen gesamten Rechner ausser gefecht setzt indem nahezu die gesamte CPU Leistung und der Arbeitsspeicher in Beschlag genommen werden. Ich surfe in der Regel mit sehr vielen Tabs. Ab ca. 100-150 Tabs benötigt Firefox bei mir zwischenzeitlich 10 GB Arbeitsspeicher und mehr und benutzt die CPU zu 80-90% sodass der Rechner teilweise kurzzeitig nicht mehr reagiert und einfriert. Besonders, wenn ich 100 Tabs und mehr auf einmal als Lesezeichen speichere (Tabs auch nur schließen, da der CPU Lüfter schon dauerhaft auf 100% läuft), friert der Rechner danach erstmal für 3-4 Minuten ein. Ich verstehe nicht, was Firefox die ganze Zeit im Hintergrund anstellt, während z.B. 250 Tabs geöffnet sind. Tabs vorzuladen macht bei der Anzahl keinen Sinn und die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass man richtig voraussehen könnte, welchen Tab ich als nächste wieder aufrufe und dieser dann schon vorgeladen ist, ist eher gering. Gibt es Möglichkeiten z.B.: - den zur Zeit verwendeten Arbeitsspeicher sofort zu leeren, ohne einen Tab zu verlieren oder dass Firefox geschlossen wird? - dass es dann längert dauert, wenn ich einen Tab anklicke, da dieser ja nicht mehr im Cache ist, und erst wieder in den Arbeitsspeicher geladen werden muss, ist selbstverständlich und vollkommen in Ordnung. - Kann man irgendwo einstellen, wie viele Tabs z.B. im Hintergrund aktiv sein dürfen? - Kann man den zu verwendeten Arbeitsspeicher begrenzen? - und was passiert, wenn die Grenze erreicht wird? - Kann man irgendwo an den Zeiten oder ähnlichem schrauben, wonach Tabs automatisch entladen werden? Chrome friert Tabs scheinbar automatisch ein, zu mindest ist die performance dort besser.

Es bringt ja nichts, wenn alles versuche wird im RAM vorzuhalten, damit es sofort da ist, wenn der ganze Rechner damit in die Knie gezwungen wird und am Ende das gesamte System nicht mehr zu bedienen ist. Vor einigen Jahren ist Firefox bei zu vielen Tabs oft abgestürzt, dann hat sich schon gebessert.

Es fehlt mir an Einstellungen zur Anpassung, was Firefox im Hintergrund vorhalt und was Tabs machen dürfen, wenn sie nicht aktiv bedient bzw. benutzt werden. Manuelles "entladen" kommt für mich nicht in Frage, da es zu aufwändig ist, bei extremen "Multitabbing".

Ich bin seit meiner Kindeheit begeisterter Mozilla Fan (seit Gründung von Mozilla) und verteidige und empfehle Firefox wo ich nur kann. Aber dieses Performanceproblem besteht schon sehr lange, ist zwar über die letzten Jahre besser geworden, dennoch zwingt es mich schon fast, nach einer Alternative zu suchen.

Generell fehlen viele Funktionen für Extrem-Multi-Tab-Benutzer wie z.B., dass man Tabs in der Leiste markieren oder sortieren kann. Ein großer Segen wäre eine Funktion, dass Tabs, die man bereits als Lesezeichen gespeichert hat oder doppelt geöffnete Tab, direkt zu erkennen sind, ohne dass man den Tab aufruft. Aber andere Thema. Ich benutze auch keine vertikale Tableiste, nur die horizontale klassische Leiste oben am Bildschirmrand.

Ich wäre sehr Dankbar über Tips zur Lösung des Problem mit dem Arbeitsspeicher.

I've been having this problem for about 10 years. It was raised in this thread but never solved.

When I launch Firefox, several recent bookmarks that had been at the bottom of a folder have moved to the top of the folder.
