MY FF recently updated to version 1380.1 (64bits) and my Sidebar Bookmarks are gone. That is I have to manually put them back every time I now start FF. I want them to always show when I start FF. When I need extra screen space, I would click the X and they'd disappear for that session. And when I was done, I'd click on View - Bookmarks they'd be reinstalled. And when I shut FF down and returned later, they'd be right there where I need them.

My question is, how do I get back to that setup?

My Bookmarks do not not show when I open Firefox. I have enabled Bookmarks under View > Sidebars but they don't show and I have to manually make the visible every time I us Firefox.

Since update to Firefox version 138.0.1, my last viewed side bar is never automatically displayed upon REOPENING Firefox. I must always > View > Re-select the desired sidebar choice >

How can I get this side bar to re-display automatically upon opening Firefox as it used to in previous versions?

WHY HAVE ALL MY SAVED BOOKMARKS DISSAPEARED ??? THERE USED TO BE A COLUMN ON THE RIGHT WHEN I OPENED THE BROWSER, ITS GONE. I COULD CLICK AND GO TO THE SITE I NEED TO WORK WITH ??

After Update to 138.0 my sideabar (bookmarks) is away. I can reactivate the sidebar on the left side as wished. But when I open a new Firefos Window or Tab the sidebar ist away again. What have they done, mozilla ?? How can I get mey bookmarks ALWAYS shown on left side of any Window or tab ?

After a Firefox update, my bookmarks menu, which was on the left side of the screen vanished. I have not been able to restore it. When I click the bookmark box (at the top of the page) I get three choices showing up on the upper left side of the screen. 1) Summarize , brainstorm, etc. 2) Tabs from other devices. and 3) History. So how do I get bookmarks???

I had a Firefox update yesterday, April 29th. Since then, my Bookmarks sidebar no longer opens automatically when I open my Firefox browser. I have to go to the sidebar icon at the upper right of my screen to open the Bookmarks. I went to my settings, and the box for automatic opening was not checked. I checked the box, and it still does not function. Any ideas as to what the problem is, and what the solution could be?

Just recently, the Bookmarks sidebar quit appearing automatically when I opened Firefox. In each new window, it can be selected manually.

I posted this thread under "Privacy and Security" because other threads on the Internet (some quite old) say this issue can be fixed by changing the Browsing history settings. I tried that, but got a strange result: the Bookmarks sidebar did appear automatically, but the webpage I was on would not display any images embedded in the page. And then I wondered: why must I eliminate Browsing History just to automatically display my bookmarks?

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

I have Firefox ver. 138.0.1. Since this update I can't find a way to open my bookmarks on the sidebar and keep it there. I can open it by going to View-Sidebar-Bookmarks. But I have to do this every time I sign into my Firefox. I like working with my bookmarks open on the left side all the time. I am sincerely hoping the update did not do away with that feature.
