Some sites I use will not let me use them unless I stop using add blocking. I have not installed an add blocker so I am thinking it must be one in Firefox. I also have Mozilla Seamonkey installed, but not using it. Each time I visit a news website I get a popup that claims Im using an ad blocker. I have searched all those adbocker pgms on my computer and none exist. Why am I getting these pop ups. I think I also checked the AVG pgm, but didnt see an adblocker there. How do I fix this situation from continuing

My university requires me to logon to use campus services every 24 hours. Upon expiration of the logon credential after the 24 hour period, a logon window will prompt to re-enter credentials. The problem is that it will continue to prompt log in with new pop up windows every few minutes so if I don't log in, for example, over night, I'll wake up to hundreds of log on window pop ups. This creates system wide slowdown due to memory resources being maxed out. I can't enable universal pop up blocks as the systems I require use pop ups and having to open each pop up manually does work in my workflow. Any solutions? Thank you!

I just started getting an annoying ding/small pop-up window that appears to be a link to various ads . . . I would like to get rid of it.
I assume it is FIrefox, as it started happening after my most recent update. I also assume there is a setting I can use, but I don't see a settings icon in Firefox. <Sigh>
Possibly it only pops up when I'm using Duck Duck Go, but I'm not sure about that.
Sure need some help here . . . much appreciated.
