Dear Support Team,

I am writing to request assistance with an issue I encountered after a recent Firefox update. After opening the browser, an automatic updat led to making all of my bookmarks, saved passwords and website data disappear. The profile I was using had been active for over two years and contained important information that I now cannot access (it wasn't a profile I created myself, I just used the browser normally).

I have already tried several troubleshooting steps, including restoring previous profiles, checking the profile folder, and attempting to recover data from backups. Unfortunately, none of these attempts have been successful so far. The about:profiles website tells me my old profile does not exist but in my Firefox folder, there is a (profile?) folder from 2023 which contains only one file.

Could you please help me recover my previous Firefox profile or guide me through any additional methods that might allow me to restore my lost data?

My bookmarks disappeared and I do not know why.

I have tried to restore bookmarks following the directives obtained online. Somehow this has not been successful, and this remains a giant puzzle to me.

I can see the bookmarks in Library, but I have not been successful in figuring how to transfer that listing to the Bookmarks tab at the left-sided top of the frame of the browser.

I just updated to the latest Firefox. All my history, bookmarks, extensions are now gone. I do not seem to be able to get them back. My old version of Firefox is not available. When I ask to update from a prior browser, the drop down selection does not give me my prior version of Firefox. Help!

your browser did an update on my windows 11 home version laptop and now I cannot access my bookmarks and have a message at the upper left side of my browser screen.....

Where are my bookmarks? Everything is gone with the update, and you didn't warn this could happen. Is there a way to recover the bookmark file? Profiles does not help for there is no new profile there. I NEED THE BOOKMARKS FOR WORK!!!

I suddenly got a message on my screen that my bookmarks and history were not available because another program and Firefox were trying to use the same application. I followed directions on how to determine the exact problem and cannot get anywhere with that. I then tried editing my profiles and ended up losing all but the main one, and there are very few bookmarks included with it. Would there be any way I can retrieve at least part of the files I have lost, especially my bookmarks? I thank anyone who can help me in advance.

After the update, a window popped up asking me to select a profile. But my profile, where all my passwords, bookmarks, etc. were, was gone. I couldn't restore my bookmarks because the only one available was from today and it`s "clean." Is there any way to restore my account data? Because everything was there: settings, bookmarks, passwords, history.

After both a MS and Firefox update, I have lost all my Firefox bookmarks

I have viewed several videos online that showed how to restore them, they seemed straightforward enough, but I always hit a dead end.

Firefox>menu>Bookmarks>Manage Bookmarks>LIbrary>Import And BackUp>Restore>ChooseFile

Once I get to Restore, there are no dates available to me to pick from.All I get is Choose File, but when I click on that, nothing happens. Dead end.

I have lost all my Firefox bookmarks. All gone. I have searched online for solutions, and have seen what appears to be a standard procedure for doing so. Bookmarks>Manage Bookmarks> LIbrary>Import and Backup>Restore

This is where it breaks down for me......I see no date available to use. All I see is "Choose File" and when I click that, nothing happens. That is the dead end I am at now.
