Cannot access "about.config" using location/address bar. Will only let me use as search and cannot find how to not always see the search results. Every support article says the same and does not address my problem. How can I disable search in address bar and access about.config?

I selected the new HTTPS-Only mode in Firefox 83.0, and some URLs are being blocked, followed by the "Secure Connection Not Available" message. Yet, when I click "Continue to the HTTP site," the site URL is HTTPS, and the grey lock in the URL bar is in the fully secure position. Please let me know what this means, or whether this is a bug to be worked out. Thanks in advance.

I have addon for Duckuckgo. But suddenly and very often the DuckDuckgo ist overwritten via Bing. Why? What can I do to make my search Eingine Duckduckgo permanenz? I have no Addon for Bing? FF ist my standard Browser?

Some sites do not show a shield icon in the address bar, most notably support.mozilla.com and Office 365.

How can I modify blocking and privacy for such a site? I wast to allow cookies from Office 365, but not for other sites.

Addons use to show up at the top right hand part of the screen. I have checked solutions but haven't found one that fixes the addon problem. I would like to see how many sites have been blocked. I asked this question a little earlier today and one community member said to click on the >> at the left of the tool bar. I do not have any of those marks on my tool bar. Any other suggestions? Thank you.

B) when I am traveling to Europe or South America can I still use FirefoxVPN?

I have a MacBook Air (macOS Big Sur 11.1) since mid-December, before that I was using Windows. I have downloaded Firefox. Now I have the problem that I have to log in to my Firefox account every time when I end Firefox completely (or the Macbook crashes, but that's for Apple support). 'How can I stay logged in?" It's about my Firefox account through which I sync all my bookmarks and passwords. That works as well, until the next launch.

ich habe seit Mitte Dezember ein MacBook Air (macOS Big Sur 11.1), vorher habe ich mit Windows gearbeitet. Habe mir Firefox geladen. Jetzt habe ich das Problem, dass ich mich ständig bei Firefox anmelden muss, wenn ich Firefox komplett beende (oder das Macbook abstürzt, aber das ist für den Apple Support). Wie kann ich angemeldet bleiben? Es geht um meinen Firefox Account über den ich alle meine Lesezeichen und Passwörter synchronisiere. Das funktioniert auch, bis zum nächsten Start.

Hi, since today I've been unable to connect to reCAPTCHA. At first the reCAPTCHA boxes didn't show up at all and Firefox prevented me from connecting with Google because of an error with the certificate. I was able to fix that by allowing Firefox to trust root authorities (solution #6 on this list: https://sectigostore.com/page/fix-the-warning-potential-security-risk-ahead-error-in-firefox/ )

While the reCAPTCHA boxes are showing up again, I still can't connect with it. When checking the box, it starts loading for a while and I get an error message saying that there's no contact with reCAPTCHA and that I should check my connection and try again. I included a screenshot.

I went to topics of people who had the same problem and tried everything. Disabling protection against tracking, disabling Adblock, starting Firefox in safe mode, refreshing Firefox, loading another Firefox profile, restarting Firefox, uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, restarting my pc. I'm desperate.

I'm only having this problem in Firefox, not in any other browser.

I recently found out that default option for firefox is to share data across windows users. I have my pc set up with an admin account and my family account and with their access to firefox (i didn't log in to firefox on their user) they can see all my passwords and usernames. Since I use lockwise to store my logins i really wish this didn't happen. How to avoid it?

I was using an unprotected wifi for about 3 days and now I have unknown programs running and sometimes commond prompt boxes suddenly poping up and dissapearing. I'm nolonger using the computer and I'm changing all my passwords just in case. (not getting FF to remember them)

But there are unknown usernames and passwords in my synced passwords. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/930340 Does this mean the hacker has all my FF passwords and can access it anywhere and anytime if I change them is sync? Should I make a new Sync account?

I'm looking for non-social Firefox edition or version. I want to follow the latest FF updates, but without any integrated services like social spyware and any other kind of malware. Options disable / enable are not sufficient to be safe and security in Firefox is corrupted by social API.

Social services and features must be implemented only as a simple optional extensions and nothing more.

When I try to access this US military site, https://www.tricareonline.com/portal/page/portal/TricareOnline/Portal I get a warning that this site can't be trusted. I then get a notice to override Firefox if I trust the site. I get a certificate, override, and finally get the site. But this has happened a half dozen or so times, every time I try to log in to the military site. How can I log into this site without the annoying warnings?

A newspaper website asked if I wanted to tell them my location. Firfox popped up and asked if I wanted to automatically tell sites that ask my geographic location. I clicked and got more information. There was a section that gave instructions to permanently disable geographic location tracking. I followed the directions to disable, even though the default is no tracking. I had to type an two words with a : separating them into the address bar. This brought me to a long list of settings. I followed the directions but now it seems my location is being tracked by everyone.

How do I get back to this list of settings (which was not accessed through Options) to go back to the default?

I recently uninstalled then reinstalled Firefox but now am unable to use master password. The 'OK' button does not activate, will not save password.

I'm using firefox for several years, but recently i discovered a weird effect on one of my computers, which was consistent across many FF versions (up to the recent version 17 now). All drop down menus on facebook were not working for me. On one pc I can click on the red globe, and a menu opens - while on the other pc nothing happened. Now I was able to reproduce it.

As soon as I activate the "ask how long cookies are stored" option in the privacy settings, the drop down menus wont work/show. Choosing the default "Keep them as long as they are valid" reenables the drop down menus.

I really like the cookie storage time option so i can decide which website will remember me.

My start page was changed without my knowledge or consent. Don't know how but maybe it was the most recent Firefox upgrade. How can I prevent this? It really pisses me off.

When I click on my username that appears on the top of page, I'm getting: "Oops! We had an error. We'll get to fixing that soon. You can try refreshing the page, or head back to the Add-ons homepage."

But I still can access my account settings: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/users/edit and even edit them.
