every download gets stopped with "This file contains a virus or malware", have to click on the file, then click "allow download" every time!

I check the file with my antivirus and it finds NOTHING!

Tonight I was roaming around my Firefox settings looking at something else, when I noticed this AI piece pre-checked. Why is FIREFOX, who is supposed to be for privacy and security, authorizing an update that automatically choose AI? Not cool Mozilla. Not Cool. Anyone else have this? and yes, I've already fixed it ;-)

At the top of my settings it says: Information: Your browser is being managed by your organization.

What does this mean? It's my personal laptop, I bought it myself and I don't work for any organization.

To sign into Chatgbt I used my google account. Mozilla asks me "do I want to store info in persistent storage?" I click "learn more" about persistent storage. It takes me to a page that has zero mention of the words "persistent storage". That is a huge UX error. It says to me that really, you don't want me to know about persistent storage, and prefer that I remain confused and feel forced to agree to things I may not really want to, because you're making it difficult to understand what's actually involved. Not cool. Definitely now considering changing my browser after over 20 years.

My cat jumped on my keyboad and Firefox detected 'unusual activity' She probably hit a combination of keys which lead to said activity. Instantly, I had to verify whether I was a human. I did, but really, it was my cat. Neither my cat, nor myself have bad intentions. I just thought Firefox security should know that these things might happen.

I hope that my cat's activity didn't compromise my account. Maybe 'unusual activity' should be less strict, though I do understand that Firefox must be vigilant. Maybe it would be a good idea to let users describe what happened, before sending Captcha?

Was prompted to download a program to Firefox before I paid my phone bill. I did not recognize the web address or name that was shown, and the account number from which recent payment was deducted did match any accounts I hold or held in the past. I cancelled the action immediately, without downloading, but am still concerned. I found nothing on the internet about this, just got a summation chat AI response that stated the phone company had no download/extension for Firefox. Has anyone had any experience like this or could someone shed some light on this?

Since the latest Firefox upgrade I get about 30 pop up ads from you scaring me about security. I have run a diagnostic and am confident I do not have any issues. I will soon leave you all together despite the hassle of chaging

When the browser is open - whether with tabs or not - it disables NVIDIA ShadowPlay. The NVIDIA overlay says “a protected app is preventing desktop capture,” and I’d agree with that if it only happened when tabs with DRM content were open, but it happens even in an empty browser.

open Walmart, for instances I keep getting these pop up saying I have 20 virus etc. get this download. How do I stop this? It is non stop on anything I try to see.
