since the last update, the shortcut keys to highlight a word at a time left OR right are both highlighting the next word AND also jumping to the last tab. AGAIN! I noticed this was identified as a problem back around 2019 in a search. I now cannot move fluidly within text, nor highlight a word at a time quickly. Either it's whole line or simply a letter at a time... which results in a pretty incompetent, crippling experience. PLEASE FIX!!

I was having an odd issue the other day, that I now solved by comparing the settings on a working Firefox profile with mine.

For some reason, on one of my multiple Firefox profiles a list of web apps wasn't working. Among them were Discord, Miro Board, and Google Pay. I was suspecting that they all had the same issue, but didn't know what it was at that time.

The security settings were the obvious suspect (Ad-blockers, DNS, HTTPS enforcement etc.) because clearly something was being blocked, however nothing helped. The solution was in the Network settings. (See screenshot) I was using Manual proxy settings from the time I messed with I2P networks (or something similar).

I am not sure why having a proxy to localhost (127.0.0.1) on HTTP would somehow cause very specific major apps to stop working, while others keep working fine, but it happened to me anyway.

For anyone in a similar situation, with those particular apps not working, check your proxy settings.

Using up to date Firefox on a Mac, London UK. Recently returned from travel in Japan. The bank cards auto-fill stopped working & Auto-fill does not appear in Privacy Settings (it is not there – no need to request a check please:)?

Spent 2 hours on Mozilla support/community etc. No answers – including 'make a new profile'...(& why - won' that affect history etc)?

Would be very grateful for any help please?

Trying to access my email account at Comcast, but recently (last few months) when signing in I get a blank page with the following message:

Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page.

Followed by a link that says" Allow"

How can I correct this without having to "allow" each time?

I am on Firefox v122.0 Google docs paste functionality doesn't work when using Cmd + v. This is happening only for Google docs. Same doc works perfectly fine on Chrome. I also tried running Firefox in troubleshoot mode with same results. Should I just give up on trying to make Firefox work with Google products.

I recently deleted pwnedpasswords.com from my cookies, as well as blocked this website; however, it keeps reappearing in my list of cookies.

I've never even visited this site (that I'm aware of), and it's a bit concerning to me.

In spite of clearing ALL my cookies (and blocking this website), it keeps appearing in my list!

Please advise :)

I did update my Mac to IOS 26.0.1 and I have lost all the history and bookmarks, I have the "Sync" enabled with my browser.

All my important data has been lost, can you please look into this and help me please.

As of today, the wallpaper I'd set for my homepage/new tabs pages is gone and there's no way to choose a different one. Is this just me or or are other people having this problem?

Is anyone else having problems with the latest version of Firefox not rendering Google Calender, Amazon.com and other websites?

I have two Mac systems, a 2018 Intel Mac Mini, and an M1 2020 MacBook Pro, both running Sonoma 14.7.6. On the Mac Mini, Firefox opens to the familar "Recommended Stories". On the MacBook Pro Firefox opens to a long list of items I'm not the least bit interested in. How do I get the MacBook Pro back to nothing but the "Recommended Stories"? I don't want/need NHL, NFL, NBA,Television, MLB, Pro Soccer, Education, Food, Health, Parenting, etc., etc., etc.

I cannot login into a website because they complain that I have an old version of PHP. Is that already included in Firefox? I am using Firefox Vers. 143.0.4 on a MacBook Air with MacOS Big Sur, Vers. 11.7.10 Shall I go to the PHP website and download PHP?

My Firefox browser just updated to version 143.0.1. When the browser reopened, there was an instructional page that opened in a new tab describing the Unload Tab function. I followed the instructions, right-clicked on the tab, the drop down menu appeared, but there wasn't an Unload Tab option. However, there was a Reload Tab option shown.

How do I resolve this? I'm using a macOS 15.6.1.

I suspect some update problem.

How can I transfer my bookmarks to the new version of Firefox. The bookmarks are still available from the drop-down top bar "bookmarks" but they don't show on the Firefox page. I don't know how to get to the "about:profiles" page to change back to the profile that shows my bookmarks toolbar.

Firefox on my mac has been acting buggy lately. The last time I quit and reopened it, all of my windows and tabs were gone. there is no restore previous session available and the recently closed tabs and windows options are grayed out. How can I restore?

I installed chatgpt, but I've found it more of a nuisance than a help. I've tried on-line to find out how to remove it but none of the suggestions seemed to work. I'm using the latest version of firefox on a Macbook Pro. Any ideas welcome. Charlie

I am seeking help in arranging for FireFox to prefill login forms on websites. For most sites it already works. There is on site where I have been unable to get the login credentials to fill the login form. Using Firevox 142.0.1 on a MacBook Air. I always have "Always ask you where to save files" checked in Preferences, but lately it sometimes fails to ask me. For example, if I try to download a file from Google Drive. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there something I can do about it?
