Today I visited a website that I often visit which uses pdfs embeded onto the page using <iframes> but instead of the embeded pdfs appearing on the page, I was prompted with the download pop-up asking if I would like to open or save the pdf. If I choose open in firefox, it opens in a new tab (basically acting as if I had clicked a download link) - this happens automatically when I visit the page.

When I go to this site I just see a black frame where the embed should be, and am prompted to download/open the pdf. (screenshot attached)

I used Apple Migration Assistant to move the entirety of my wife's old iMac (the old computer won't accept updates, so her machine was not secure) to a new one. The migration operation appeared smooth and essentially perfect.

Somehow my Bookmarks have overwritten my wife's (years ago, I turned Synch = ON, was that it? Synch is OFF now). The bookmarks are still OK on the old computer, so how do I locate and move that info to the new machine "AND BE SURE TO GET IT RIGHT"? My wife is the family business manager, so her bookmarks are Insurance, Banking, Healthcare, etc.

I've done some searching, but there are thousands of posts, I can't wade through all of that.

Hello. I used to have a Firefox account a few years ago using the email ... @globo.com and a secondary email ... @gmail.com. Now I excluded my globo.com email account and I can't use or create an account with the gmail one. I made a new account using my live email account as primary but still can't use the gmail one as secondary because it says it already activated in another account. Would be possible to delete the globo.com account then I'll be able to add my gmail account as secondary then turn it primary?

I just updated to 95.0. I use default Firefox home page with the Search bar. The background turned to black with this update. The background has also turned to black for some of my bookmarks or sites I go to. Settings, Language and Appearance, Colors, Text is Black and Background is White. I have never changed that. How do I get the background back to White?

I never received the code to complete sign in. Tried 5 times. Email account did not receive email with code. Firefox says their code emails were returned. The account clasijaz@mail.com is a valid email account. What is the problem???????? This code is new. I had no problem syncing with another new computer three months ago. It did not ask for a code last time.

As I described in my subject, I can't download ANYTHING through Firefox, unless it's in troubleshoot mode. I know that troubleshoot mode disables multiple things, including all of your themes and extensions and add-ons. For example, I can't open my own files in my AOL or Gmail email and download them. I also can't download things from my Google Drive. (Unless I'm in troubleshoot mode.)

However, thinking that it must be one of my add-ons, such as my adblock or any other one (and I mostly just have an adblock), I opened Firefox normally and completely disabled all of my add-ons, but that did not fix the problem.

I also tried downloading things while I had my Antivirus briefly paused, but that didn't work either.

The only time I can download things is in troubleshoot mode, and I don't know what's causing the problem.

I use Firefox as my main browser but, in Gmail it always defaults to English US although I change it to English UK. I use this because of spell check in Australian English I have checked Gmail settings and Google settings. All are English UK. If I use Chrome, I always get English UK when I open Gmail.com. Why can't I change to UK in Gmail when using Firefox?

So there's a feature that Chrome has in that it can smartly detect which fields are search fields without having you to use bookmarks at all.

Wow. Tab to search websites. Works instantly out of the box.

Meanwhile, I can't even get any way to get Fandom wikis to be able to be searchable. No rightclick keyword on any page there works at all.

Adobe Stock doesn't work with Firefox any more? Filter panel doesn't appear as well as unable to click on profile picture to access account. Have to switch to Safari now to use Adobe Stock.

I've been running a series of searches weekly, for Bayko, on eBay.co.uk, for years, using a saved search. It now [actually for a few months] makes errors, and I've had to switch to using Chrome.

The errors : - 1 The number of found items is exaggerated by about 25%. 2 Page 7 - of 8 usually - states that no items have been found - try again - after displaying 6 full pages of 50.

For the record p8 displays fine.

Any thoughts, or, better still, solutions.

Since I upgrade MacOS to Big Sur, a couple basic Firefox functions have stopped working. 1) History is not being saved. I can restore deleted tabs, but there is nothing in the History menu, nor is there any record (for example, in the form of auto-complete) of websites I have visited in the past. 2) My bookmarks file appears to be mostly read-only. Clicking on the star icon to save a new bookmark does nothing. Selecting Bookmarks > Bookmark Current Tab does nothing. In the Manage Bookmarks environment, selecting Add Bookmark from the gear icon brings up a dialog box in which the only content is a Cancel button. In the Manage Bookmarks environment, I can change the Name of a current bookmark but cannot change its URL. If I try, it reverts to the old URL as soon as I click away from it.

The current help page that most closely describes my symptoms is https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/changes-toolbars-and-window-sizes-are-not-saved. I tried both remedies, including refreshing Firefox and deleting xulstore.json, but no change in symptoms.

For some reason, all of my Firefox related things have switched to a dark mode. My DuckDuckGo page switched to dark, my tab groups have switched to dark, my links have switched to dark! This happened when I was using the Dracula Dark theme, and the Lush Bold Theme.
