I want to set up one to just clear cache, and the other to do a more extensive cleaning job, but what exactly happens when we clear cache? I ask because both these addons have multiple data clearing options, and I'm confused about a couple of them.
Does the option "Clear images and files" complete the definition of clearing cache, or does clearing cache also include "Local Storage Data"? Or is something else also included?
I'd also like some advice on "Service Workers" and what are the results of clearing this type of data.

This previous behavior may depend on some setting, but I don't remember if I changed any setting for that. Have *no* Add-ons installed that affect tab visibility.

There are several posts on this site regarding uninstalling Firefox. I am running current Firefox on current W10 64bit 1903 desktop PC using Ethernet with Spectrum as my ISP. I am having a couple of problems in Firefox that are not happening in current Chrome. 1. Page-not-found 2-8 times a day that resolve every time by simply clicking the "retry" (or something close to that) button. I reset my router to "factory" and installed most current router firmware but that did not help. Netgear Support has been unable to help. 2. In current LastPass addon, I have to re-login to LastPass every time I start Firefox - did not used to do that (a year ago), and in Chrome or Edge that does not happen. I have re-installed the LastPass add-on. I have upgraded Firefox many times and have cleared history/cache many times. So now I want to COMPLETELY remove Firefox, reboot, and then install Firefox from scratch. Can someone please point me to the web page that tells me how to properly remove all of Firefox so that I can re-download/install it from the beginning? I do not care about retaining my Firefox settings or other from my current Firefox install.

Hello community, this morning I downloaded a Firefox update only to find that my green security padlock was no longer in my browser! I have used FFox for many years and never had this happen before therefore am naturally concerned that my web security has been compromised. As an older peerson I am not a tech. genious and have tried re-installing Firefox, also looked at updating but it reads that updates are up to date. Can anyone help put this right please? When I go to settings it says that my browser is being managed by my enterprise, and when I go to enterprise policies it lists "ImportEnterpriseRoots" as true. Is this just a part of Firefox, or should I be concerned? And if it is a part of Firefox what does it actually mean?

I was force updated to Firefox 70 and I didn't like the new layout for the new tab page, so I installed the .exe to downgrade to 69.0.3 .
However, when I launched Firefox again, I lost all of my saved data on the browser and it was a fresh profile.
Prior to downgrading, I had saved a copy of the Mozilla Firefox folder that is C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox just in case.
Is there any way I could fix this and revert to the saved settings, extensions, and passwords that I previously had?

A couple versions back, I started getting this pop-up message each morning, "Firefox can't update to the latest version". I downloaded a newer version and upgraded manually a couple times, now up to 70.0, and the pop-up keeps happening. I see a couple other people have reported a similar problem, one here was blown off because they were, supposedly, running a beta version. I'm not running beta. The other one I found was fixed by doing something to the registry, but I'm on Linux, not MS Windows so there's no registry (at least none that I know about).
The one other symptom I've noticed is that when I bring up the "About Firefox" window, it takes a really long time to figure out that "Firefox is up to date". And it always says it's up to date (if I wait long enough) even when there's a newer version available.
It would be greatly helpful if that pop-up would say *why* it couldn't update itself but it does not give any useful information.

I just made a HUGE mistake. I clickED the "Refresh" button to speed up Firefox. It moved my TABs bar to the top. How do I get it back under the BOOKMARKs bar?

You keep moving the TABs to the top, and I can find no way to move it back below the Bookmarks toolbar. I also have to request viewing the Menu bar which is not visible by default. Why do you make it so difficult for us? Should I look for a different browser? The only ones I have every had are Netscape and Firefox. I tried Chrome, but do not like it. Firefox used to be good, but it as become less responsive to the end-user. I see an opportunity for yet another browser company.

When I launch Firefox it takes 10-15 seconds to connect to display any website. If I open another window of firefox after the first windows is working normally, the second firefox window works normally upon launch.
I have switched profiles, removed all addons, reinstalled firefox, tried without my antivirus on and made an exception in the windows firewall.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have had lots of problems with my pc and this morning when I was trying to get it started I was offered a "Refresh your Pc"option which I did, My Mozilla Firefox browser seems to have disappeared since then since then and I was offered to open a Firefox account which I did thinking that would get my bookmarks(or Favourites) back but it hasn't. I think this new account does not recognise me. I don't have any bookmarks or favourites on any other browser. Is it possible to retrieve my oroginal Mozilla Firefox account which has got dozens of Bookmarks on it for me ? Thank you.
