Yesterday I had to reinstall Firefox as it did not exist......completely gone.....so I did a new install
Now the issue is and has been is I load Firefox and sometimes I cannot even access anything from the address bar it just sits there.
Its kinda hit and miss I can click on a tab and sometimes my favs are there and its all good. Seems like its doing its own thing..........no no we dont want that :)
What are your suggestions?

I have had problems with streaming Channel 4 TV UK for many years. I could only get it to work on Windows. Recently I have Dumped Window 10 - so slow - updates take all day. I now am using Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (using Linux since 2009)
Channel 4 say they Do Not support Linux ?
I have tried to install Adobe Flash Player, but does not seam to work or download. On Ch 4 web page I pressed Allow, but say that I should install Flash Player !
Please could anyone advice me what I can do, or what I have done wrong.

It is the website of the largest circulation newspaper in my state. I check it every single day for statewide news. Why cannot Mozilla fix this problem that has been ongoing for many months? For some time Firefox crashes constantly. Sometimes right after opening, sometimes after a while. It's a little different every time. How can I find out exactly why Firefox crashes? Finally, I do not want to work in Safe Mode or the like with Firefox, especially if you have a Password Manager z.b. uses. I have also completely reinstalled the Firefox and tried to remove all other files that are possible.
Seit einiger Zeit stürzt der Firefox ständig ab. Manchmal gleich nach dem Öffnen, manchmal nach etwas längerer Zeit. Es ist jedesmal ein wenig anders. Wie kann ich genau herausfinden, warum der Firefox abstürzt? Schließlich möchte ich nicht im Abgesicherten Modus oder ähnlichem mit dem Firefox arbeiten, gerade wenn man einen Password-Manager z.b. nutzt. Ich habe den Firefox auch schon mal komplett neu installiert und versucht alle weiteren Dateien vorher zu entfernen, die möglich sind.

I've had no problem with previous versions of Firefox. Since installing version 63.0.3, constant problems with crashing, hanging or loading homepage and websites extremely slowly. Sometimes loading of homepage cycles through two or three partial sequences before completing. Have tried all obvious recommended solutions without success, including safe mode, refresh and reinstall. Am using MacBook Pro 10.10.5 and BT as my home page. I use Safari as my other browser and it continues to run without any issues

For Hardware Acceleration, I've tried to disable and enable and disable it again with no change. I tried to read around and turned on "Prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser" as well, hearing that some people have tried that with results. I do not have an actively scanning antivirus running, nor firewall. I had this issue before the upgrade to Quantum. I did a completely clean upgrade in hopes of fixing it, and I'm still having issues. Daily. It's been ongoing for several months at this point.

When using the "Restore Previous session" Firefox keeps refusing to load one of the tabs I had open last at random. Then when I copy the internet address and close the tab then use the Paste and go in my address bar, it promptly crashes that tab as well. As you can understand this is extremely annoying, so what's going on here?

On one of our machines, we get the message

According to the user, this started after we upgraded the machine to MacOS 10.14 Mojave. We already tried to
- restart the computer
- start Firefox in safe mode
- reinstall Firefox
- move places.sqlite to have Firefox create a new one
- create a new profile
- refresh Firefox
- granted Firefox full disk access under "System Preferences - Security & Privacy - Privacy"
all without success. I even tried to open places.sqlite with sqlite3, but wasn't able to find any tables, despite the file being +500kb.
The integrity verification of the places database produced the following output:

I'm wondering whether there are ways to find the original error that caused Firefox to show this error message (like "could not open file xy"), or is there a debug log that can be used to get more information about this problem? What's also puzzling me is the fact that this error persists even with a new profile or a fresh install.

Hello, Ive got Quantum 63.01 running on macbook pro. Yahoo barging in as the 'default search engine'. I go to my preference page I delete it, google is back to being my default search engine. A few days later, boom- there is yahoo again showing up as the default. This goes on several times a week, and its driving me nuts. If I didnt like yahoo before, I really hate them now. Ive gone through all of your solutions, there is nothing in my extensions or add-ons that shouldnt be there. So why does this continue to happen? I need to get rid of yahoo now. I even ran yahoo through the finder and there is nothing on my laptop for yahoo. Isnt there a script I can look for in firefox that can be deleted or something?? With Firefox version 63, I have the problem on YouTube and Netflix, if I snap Firefox in a corner (with mouse or WIN + arrow keys) and switch a video to full screen, left and right is still a few pixels square. In addition, the taskbar is in the foreground (can not be fixed). [IMAGE 1]
If not left, right (top or bottom) snapped then it works, if Firefox is maximized too. The error occurs only in Firefox. Exit Explorer.exe and reboot PC does not work. Error exists since update on the first day of release (early October) - version has been withdrawn by MS,
I also installed the version on my laptop and have been updating ever since.

Useful data: Windows version 1809 build 17763.134 Graphics driver up to date Firefox completely reinstalled (profile, cache & cookies deleted) even without add-ons started. 2 monitors On the laptop (also tested with 2 monitors) no problems.
I am thankful for every help. Error is really annoying.

I also found out the Firebug has been deprecated.

I have a multiple logins of google and some other websites which I have added in Firefox and never log out from them so I do not have to log in them again and again. It was working perfectly till last update and now every time I close firefox, cookies.sqlite in profile is being renamed to cookies.sqlite.bak and a fresh sqlite file is created when I restart Firefox, so all logins are gone. Everytime I have to delete the freshly created cookies.sqlite file and rename bak file to cookies.sqlite. My FF version is '63.0.3 (32-bit)' and option of "Accept cookies and site data" is already set to expire on "Until they expire".
Please help me how to toubleshoot it because I cant to loose cookies data at any cost.
