My visual limitations make it difficult for me to look up, so the tabs at the bottom are very helpful. Why this effort to place them above? I use them a lot ... and now I have to strain my eyes. Sure you see perfectly well. You could think of people with poor eyesight and older people who are forced to bend their necks. They are two centimeters, yes, but at my age that breaks my neck. I used to use Firefox because I could have tabs down. Not now. It is not ergonomic. Is it time to abandon it? Think about the needs of others. Of all of them.

I'm unable to generate a screenshot of a local HTML file using Firefox's (v60.9.0) [headless mode][1]

Here's the command I'm using:

   "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -P AJ --screenshot test.png "file:///C:/html_export.html"

I've tried with and without a profile and with different numbers of slashes after file. There are no errors in the command line - it just doesn't generate an output.

This command works fine when I substitute the file:// with an external website like:

   "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -P AJ --screenshot test.png google.com

Could it be related to the [redirect bug mentioned here][2]?

Any help is appreciated! Perhaps theres a way to turn on output verbosity for --headless mode?

Something I do at work fairly regularly is copy and paste an entire page from Chrome to MS Word, by selecting all with Ctrl+A and then pasting. When doing this in chrome, the page text, text colors, and background formatting and colors are copied. When I do the same thing in Firefox, only the plain text is copied. Is there a way to make Firefox mimic this behavior? The two screenshots I have attached demonstrate what I mean. If needed, I can provide more info, or additional screenshots!!!

Thanks in advance!

Hello. How do I prevent this warning from blocking the connection to the website? I would not mind if FF would show a warning at one of the corners of the screen. But I need it to stop blocking the pages from loading. Please do not suggest me any guides how to troubleshoot certificates or anything like that. I need to switch off this function in FF completely.

I'm using Firefox v51.0.1 on Ubuntu with 16Gb RAM and 4 cores. I have to use a custom built GStreamer based video decoder plugin and that is why I'm using v51. There are two screens each playing 4 streams each. The videos play at 30fps without any problem once displayed on browser. There is a switch button which can switch between 2 sets of 4 streams each (quad view). When the pages are switched, say for about 100-200 times, the responsiveness of the browser slows down gradually and at one point, it just stops to respond to any further clicks. When Firefox froze, CPU utilization is about 30%, RAM about 25%. I tried to modify about:config parameters, but could not figure out which are the most relevant to my use case and the optimum values to be set.

I request community's help to identify the parameter combinations in v51.0.1 that could potentially keep Firefox from slowing down. In case more information is required, I will be glad to give them, but please suggest on how to get them out of the browser.

Thank you for taking your time on this subject!

I lost access to my two-factor authentication app and therefore could not get into my account. I have created a new account using a different email address but I would like to use the email address (which I still have access to) associated with that account. As long as the old account exists I cannot associate that email with my new account. I cannot find any way to contact Mozilla to ask them to delete the old account (and free up that email address). Will it just get deleted eventually if I don't log into it anymore? Is there someone I can contact to close that old account? Thanks

I used to abuse the old search bar like there was no tomorrow. I loved it. I think it was the soul of Firefox: it made everything so cool and easy. But somebody killed it. Fixed it when there was nothing to fix.

Hope people who are working on new versions read this: people want the old one back. If you used the old search bar very often like I did, the new one behaves totally differently and thus makes using it a total pain. I have no understanding for this kind of change, especially when I cannot change it back anymore.

Can somebody please point me to a working solution of how to get the old search box back? Showoneoffbuttons tweak in about:config doesn´t work anymore, Classic theme restorer doesn´t work either. I am getting sick and tired and I need help.

Until some awesome person points me to a solution and I have showered them with praises and love (I am not being sarcastic, I am just stumped and any help is greatly appreciated), I downgrade Firefox into pre-Christ version and hope my virus program is up to the task.

Ever since it's been available I have used Google IFL as my search engine, so that when I type anything in the address bar, it just automatically goes to the most logical page. Suddenly this week, when I hit Enter, instead of going to the page, I get a Redirect Notice showing me what page it's about to take me to. I thought it was some Google thing but it doesn't happen on Chrome and from searching it seems it's a Firefox thing.

As an example, to get here, I typed mozilla support forum and I got the redirect notice shown in the attached screenshot.

Searching tells me that the setting for this is in about:config under accessibility.blockautorefresh - just set it to false. Great. Except that's the default setting and it's already set for false. Restarting Firefox does not change things.

I am using version 60.9.0esr (64-bit) and while it may have automatically downloaded an update earlier this week, it needs to be restarted to install it, and I did not restart Firefox between this not happening and this happening.

I should note that it never happens when clicking a link on any website. I have seen it rarely in the past when clicking an image on Google search results, but not very often - usually I am just taken to the page where the image lives. (This is why I thought it was a Google thing.) It only happens when I type into the address bar. I have even tried opening a new, blank tab and typing and it still gives the same redirect notice. When I click the Return to the previous page link, nothing happens.

So how can I actually turn this off? It's very annoying.

How can I set a specific download folder/path as permanent location for downloading a file from the internet for all terminal user profiles. I would like to accomplish this with autoconfig.js or per user.js profile. Or is there a specific registry I can set in regedit for Firefox and where?

You help is much appreciated :) I am looking forward to hearing from you.
