After the automatic update to 50.1.0, I am no longer able to connect to https web interfaces of appliances on my LAN/VPN.

Before the update, I would receive a "Secure Connection Failed" page with an "Advanced" button that would allow me to confirm the security exception and continue to the web page.

Initially after the update, there was no "Advanced" option and the error code was SSL_ERROR_INAPPROPRIATE_FALLBACK_ALERT. As part of exploring solutions, I did a refresh of Firefox. After the refresh, the error code is now SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP and there is still no "Advanced" button.

I can access the page via Internet Explorer after confirming a security exception. My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1.

Don't know how it arrived there, but this bar is blocking the tabs of Firefox when I'm browsing. It's a single line bar which would, if I ever wanted to use it, allow me to search the web via Chrome. But, I don't! My Firefox screen used to fit below this bar, but that, too, has changed, somehow. Seems the gremlins are in there! And... when I open Word, or Excel, the top line of tabs is also, now, hidden behind the Chrome bar. Making it a real pain to do anything. Yes, this Chrome bar is there with every application, whether Firefox is open or not. I would greatly value any contribution that will rid me of this extremely irritating issue. I tried to upload a screenshot to show the offender in situ, but the flower petals are still spinning after 30 minutes. so posted it as is.

I have read too many misleading and uniformed statements about installing and enabling Flash Player in Firefox. However after reading way too many comments one little tidbit made as an afterthought by a respondent GOT MY ATTENTION. it said, " be sure Firefox is closed [as well as IE]. Everyone knows to down load and install one has Firefox OPEN because you go to the arrow and click on the executable. WRONG. You must close Firefox and go find the executable somewhere in your download folder and execute it from explorer. The Voila it all works fine and Shockwave shows up in your Add-ons ready for action. Hi, I don't know if it's a firefox bug, or maybe a change made recently (in the CORS code) cuz firefox keeps complaining about the request being blocked (and I don't remember this happening, I remember the content of the file being displayed in the site, a json translation file, some months ago):

Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://static.domain.com/js/DataTables-Spanish.json. (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing).

I have the subdomain properly configured, in fact, the other requests like css/js files are being read and working without problems, but this particular request (made from inside a javascript file) is being blocked with a CORS error, even when I can see the header in the firefox network monitor:

The address wasn’t understood

Firefox doesn’t know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (osu) isn’t associated with any program or is not allowed in this context.

You might need to install other software to open this address.

I have the program osu installed on my computer. How do I make the address in Firefox redirect to the osu program?

Instead of firing up FF and then clicking on the toolbar icon - "Open a Private Browsing Window" every time, is there a way to create a Desktop Shortcut to click on which brings up FF in Private Browsing mode?

Perhaps I can place it in my quick launch toolbar.

Is it possible to set a default "homepage" for Private Browsing mode?

I've performed a "safe-start", cleared cookies and cache and still same issue. IE works just fine. No menu items on bottom right screen and no Earth view box at lower left screen.

I need to open firefox using a command line and load an website using an installed add-on. I got to open firefox and load the website, using the following comand line:

C:\Program Files (x86)>start firefox.exe http://www.uol.com.br

But I could't find how I can run the add-on using the command line. Anyone, could help me, please?

When I click on Firefox icon on my computer to access internet, the attached file shows the pop-up message I get. Since URL isn't specific to Mozilla/Firefox, am questioning validity of message.

When I search with the address bar it no longer searches with Google. This started to occur after I messed with settings in the about:config page and in the firefox settings. It treats it like I'm searching "http://example" instead of just searching "example" in google search

Hi! I also could no longer see my bookmarks toolbar after recently updating Firefox. I see one of the solutions is to his the library icon in the Firefox "toolbar" but I can't seem to find it. Am I totally blind as it seems it should be obvious but I really am not sure where it is? Did it disappear too? Please help! Thanks a bunch!

Some videos play a small portion of said video, if you hold the cursor over the video. This stopped working. Now it just flashes a preview too fast to see what is on the video. It had been working with Firefox in December.

When I load a web site, like Yahoo for instance, a whole bunch of urls flash by in the bottom left corner of Firefox. All these web addresses slow the actual loading of my target web site, like Yahoo. How can I block this activity and go directly to my target without all these other urls slowing down the loading of my target site?

I want to play certain videos on Amazon with my Firefox browser, but I keep getting the message that my browser does not have a DRM to play the videos. I have the DRM (Woodvine) in my addons and plugins and have it checked and always activated. Still no playing. I have tried and tried, but always get the same message on Amazon videos. At times I can get Youtube to play, but I would prefer the regular browser. Any suggestions?

I have followed all instructions but Facebook is still giving me the message that cookies are not enabled. TrustE Protection has all enabled for Facebook. AdBlock is for all. Microsoft Edge gives me no problems today.
