My original e-mail screen changed, so now there is a narrow column on the right which has the e-mail address and titles. the rest of the screen is blank. The old format had the e-mail address and titles extending across the screen. How do I get back to the old format?

Firefox developer version crashes the moment I try to open it. I faced similar issue with other (stable) firefox too websense was blocking it, so to over come I added a .dll file named qipcap and it started working fine. But this doesn't help with Developer edition.

Under the history column the "recently closed tabs" and "recently closed windows" options are grayed out. How can I restore their functionality??

Hi, FireFox is the only browser compatible with ZoomText (other browsers display blurred/pixelated fonts). A recent update of FireFox made it display blurred fonts in ZoomText as in the other browsers. 1. "use hardware acceleration when available" was set to "false" 2. ZoomText version is: 10.11.6.5 (51092) 3. FireFox version : 49.01

I uninstalled FireFox and installed a previous version 48.02 and the problem was solved. Do you know what's the reason for this?

Fox News website, Facebook postings etc often have videos running that were not requested by me. I find them annoying and want to stop all pop-up or embedded videos from auto running.

i want to reset my desktop background but it just keeps loading and saying "saving picture". is there a better way to make my own desktop background without using the suggested images?

Yesterday I deleted ALL cookies and saved passwords, but for some reason FireFox is still able to automatically log me in to some of the web-sites. This is causing a problem because some of those sites are internal for work and using the old password, meaning I can't get into them. Where are these stored and how can I delete or update them, please?

I want to delete all connections to iDrive from my Firefox browser homepage, but all attempts have failed. How do I accomplish this, i.e., totally delete all iDrive icons and other software from my browser? The iDrive tech support was useless. Uninstalling did the .dmg file not work.

So basically I've been using Firefox for quite some time now, I have a load of bookmarks and I frequently have upwards of 50> tabs usually <100. I use an old OS - Vista.

I have found Firefox to be stable until recently, as it is really unstable. I am almost crashing a lot of the time. What I mean by almost crashing, is that the browser stop registering my clicks and the page(s) I am viewing go cloudy and the browser goes in a 'not responding mode'. However, it rarely actually closes Firefox and crashes properly to desktop. But I usually have to wait a good 10-30 seconds for it to respond and return to normal. Sadly, this happens often and it is quite common for a 'not responding' problem to be followed by another immediately after.

I have sometimes lost old 'restore sessions', so I may have edited a few things in my directory - but I don't see why that would affect the stability of the browser in this way.

Again, the problem is not that Firefox crashes full on to desktop; it's that it goes into a 'Not Responding Mode' more than frequently.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Macbook Pro (OS X). When using Firefox I got a message saying it was running slow and it recommended me to "Reset Firefox", but promised that all my tabs (I have a lot of tabs open with important things) was gonna be saved and transfered.

After I reset firefox it updated into version 48.0.2 . My tabs are now gone. I googeled and found a troubleshooting guide telling me to copy/paste the old "profile", that Firefox saved with my previous settings/tabs etc on my desktop into the new profile folder to recover my old things (i was hoping for my tabs).

Unfortunatly, my tabs doesnt show up after dong so, even though I have now recovered my history, bookmarks etc.

What can I do to recover all those important tabs i had?

I hit the Firefox logo at bottom of the screen. The usual choices appear on my computer. When I hit email (so that I can view my email) the logo for Google comes up and asks me to sign up with Google

I can't find any directions to change from Mobile to Desk Top in Foxfire, however there is information in my help screen that describes how to in change in crome and Safari. I'm using Foxfire and do not want to change to Crome or Safari. I need to change to Desk Top.

I foolishly downloaded a download to doc app. (I think an app) I do not remember agreeing to changing web browsers. (Never knew this could happen!!!) Now I can't open Firefox. My top menu bar is still there and seems to work. Thankfully all my million bookmarks are still there. How can I restore my Mac OS X 10.8.5 Firefox homepage without losing the bookmarks, etc.???
