I just transferred my data from an old computer with Windows 10 and now have Windows 11 on my new computer with a new version of firefox as my browser. How do I restore my bookmarks?

What the hell do you guys do with the latest update?? My home page is all screwed up and does not look or act at all as my old home page. Apparently there is no way to go back to the "old" look and feel. Not a good decision. Seriously thinking of abandoning Firefox (since I used it in WIndows-7) for a browser that will make my life easier, not harder. At 81 years old I don't time to waste futzing around trying to get my home page to work. "Technology getting in the way of Life." I am old-school security conscious & have been using FF since its inception. Really. Clear my cache & delete browsing cookies on a regular basis. I use a private window for shopping and q&a info gathering. Recently I saw Walmart.com showing up in my cookies and couldn't figure out how/why as I *only* look at Walmart in a private window. Today I realized Walmart has managed to bypass the private window options and place cookies anyway! To say I'm furious about this is an understatement. I have adjusted my settings to "Strict" but it's still able to bypass the private window and is staying on my computer. I am updated to the most recent FF version; running MacOs Sonoma 14.7.7 which was just recently updated; I'm not going past this one for now but that really shouldn't be the issue. This is most definitely a FF issue and one that needs to be rectified not just because it's Walmart but because if they can do it so can others soon enough. This cannot stand.

I use Nordpass password manager. If I try and open a site from Nordpass , Firefox Relay overlays the page , preventing the use of Nordpass. How can I disable this Firefox Relay?

Firefox in Ubuntu Linux is broken for about 30% of the web; only CHROME works. This problem just keeps getting worse. Please fix; it doesn't matter whether FF is more secure, if it doesn't work - what's the point?

Hello, since I installed the Firefox 141.0 update today, I can't login to Reddit. I tried logging into Reddit right after updating Firefox, so did a System Restore to see if that corrected the problem, and it did.

To double check, I installed the Firefox 141.0 update again, and encountered the same problem logging into Reddit again, so it's definitely this new update causing the problem.

I've attached the Reddit messages I get. The 1st is the initial message, and the 2nd after I retry logging in.

I would greatly appreciate help with this.

When I click on a link, it opens in a new tab. I do not want the link to open in a new tab but to open in the current tab, how can I change to this please? Thanks, Andrew.

I have been trying to clear out the cache under settings (cookies & site data) (everything is checked under clear data) everything clears out except for 440 now 454 KB of disk space. I cannot get it to clear out. I even uninstalled fire fox and it was clear for a couple of uses and now it is back and instead of 440 it is now 454. ••• Cookies and Site Data Your stored cookies, site data, and cache are currently using 454 KB of disk space. I am using Firefox desktop on Windows 11. I have downloaded hundreds of articles from this website, with no problem until yesterday. I accessed the website using Edge, and it worked fine.

When trying to access a particular article to download it to Ancestry, the following message appears:

I really don't want to stop using Firefox, but I need a usable browser. Can you help me?

Since updating Firefox on June 30, 2025 on my Dell desktop computer that runs Windows 10, most of my bookmarks are no longer visible. Only four of my bookmark folders are visible and most of their contents have disappeared.

However, 1) my uncategorized bookmarks - those in "other bookmarks" are still visible, and 2) If I go to "Manage bookmarks" and do a search, I can find all of my bookmarks including those that are no longer visible.

In addition, I can no longer add or delete bookmarks. It looks like I can do add a bookmark and it will let me go through the steps of adding a book mark - it even says I can put it in all my old folders that are otherwise no longer visible. But one I complete the process the bookmark does not show up.

I have read multiple Firefox Help articles about disappearing bookmarks and have taken all the steps suggested including: - Attempted to restore backups of bookmarks - didn't work. It shows me the multiple old backups but when I try to restore one I get the message "Unable to process the backup file". I have tried it with at least four of the old backup files - all without success. - cleared cache - did troubleshooting mode - refreshed Firefox - uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox - looked to see if I had a different profile other than my default profile that I could switch to. I do not see another profile.

Nothing has helped. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This is a functional bug, not a settings issue. Block media autoplay in Firefox cannot work, after I right-click on a blank area of the page and scroll.

For example, I saw a post with a video on x.com, and the site was set to prohibit automatic video playback. But when I right-clicked on the webpage and then scrolled the page with the mouse, the video started to play automatically, which means that the function of prohibiting video playback was invalid. Very strange.

Still unable to connect to Facebook.com, all other websites are fine. Have uninstalled and reinstalled twice and still, it only shows me a page stating " Sorry. something went wrong:( " . I am able to login on other devices without any issues and am able to login on this device if i use a different browser. Whilst in trouble shooting mode, i am still Unable to access Facebook.

My Mozilla Firefox bookmarks are Bookmarks 2025-07-22.JSON. They worked well on my older Dell computer. I bought a new Dell desktop computer. I am disgusted with Google. My bookmarks on my C Drive. If you can't help me reload those bookmarks, I may as well decide to delete Firefox and use another such as Total Browser. I certainly hope you will help me load 2025-07-22.JSON on my new computer - it is ridiculous that Firefox wants to put in the full address on the C Drive instead of simply loading those. On Firefox on my last computer I used News which was bookmarked Daily Wire, Epoch Times, Salem News Channel, God's World News, One America News, Washington Times, New York Sun, and local Sterling Virginia Weather. I also use biography sites https://www.Worldhistory.org and Britannica.com [both of which I pay for monthly, as https://www.wikipedia.org/. I also have a Biography folder with names from A to Z I also have many music folders 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990's, 2000s, Music group and singers A to Z, Blues music, Bluegrass, Christian Alternative Music, Country classic, Country & Western Gospel, Folk Singers, Jazz, Motown, Soul and many others which I have gathered over the past 10 years
