Hhow do I stop virus and malware and virus and malware notification pop ups from Mozilla Firefox and McAfee? How do I stop these notifications?

not sure what this image means except it is upright when I see it

The popups in the lower right hand corner about emails are almost as annoying as the Microsoft paperclip. How do I get rid of them?
