My Firefox sometimes freezes in the evenings when using AOL Mail and Facebook. I put this down to my old and slow PC. But I now have a brand new PC working on Windows 11 and all seemed fine, but it happened again this evening. I then logged into Facebook using MS Edge and it was working fine.

So, after using firefox in the background to browse websites or watch videos I checked my memory usage in firefox with about:memory -> Measure and saw that youtube was consuming a decent amount >2GB (checked the main url when clicking the youtube src, it was the video on that sole tab i was watching and nothing else playing youtube in the bg) so i closed that tab, waited a bit and re-measured but then see that the memory usage for youtube rose about 200MB... and the website for youtube is that same url for the tab that i just closed (when checking the src in the results for Measure). I've been revisiting the about:memory page, reloaded it and re-Measured and youtube is STILL THERE. Even now, 10 minutes later i still see youtube there, with none of my tabs running youtube.

If i close firefox entirely and re-open my tabs then it'll very likely fix it but this has to be a major issue no? I shouldn't have to close the entire browser program just to fix a website visit, which is youtube of all websites.

As of this moment, firefox, with 8 tabs open, is consuming 4,452.99MB (~4.5GB) where 2.5GB is youtube for that page i closed.

I don't know if sharing memory reports from the about:memory page give my cookies away or leave me open to a similar vulnerability so I won't share it unless a dev or similar asks for it but for now, I've included an image showing all the tabs i have open on firefox, 2 windows.

Where are my shortcut tiles? I used CCleaner and they all disappeared and I can't get them back even though I make sure they were on and have 2 rows selected and restarted my computer since. This happened last week and still no sign of them. See pic for reference.

I’m writing to report an ongoing issue I’ve been experiencing with Firefox over the past few months.

Within the last four months, Firefox has logged me out of every account I was signed into on three separate occasions. Each time this happens, all saved sessions are cleared and I have to sign back into every service again manually.

I haven’t intentionally cleared cookies, site data, or browsing history, and I’m not using private browsing when this occurs. This behavior is disruptive and I’m concerned there may be a settings issue, bug, or conflict causing Firefox to remove my sign-in data unexpectedly.

Could you please advise what might be causing this and what steps I can take to prevent it from happening again? I’m happy to provide additional details such as my operating system, Firefox version, or troubleshooting steps already attempted if needed.

Firefox installed a new version and my stuff has disappeared. I don't recognize the window at all. I have tried the "restore sessions" but I'm told it can't happen. I need my stuff back.

My main Email Got Hacked how can I change my email or add a Account recovery key to my mozilla account or even add Two-step authentication ? I am very frustrated, please advise urgently.

My default search engine in Firefox settings is Google. I deleted Yahoo search from the list of browsers in my settings. Nevertheless, all of my searches recently began going through and using Yahoo search. This is the search path that comes up in the search box: https://search.yahoo.com/yhs/ . . . How can I stop this?

Hello. I'm having trouble using a password manager or auto script function within that password manager. It says please enable JavaScript within your browser. I use Firefox as my default browser. This is not the only time I've been asked to enable JavaScript. When I go to do so, Java is already enabled. So I can't figure this out without your help. Thank you

I use macbook and newest Firefox 147.0.1 and it thinks im in Washington DC not West Palm Beach. I get DC maps, DC weather and DC info for generic searches. I did use a vpn a few months ago, but its off and also its toggled off in Location Services. I tried 100 different suggestions made by google gemini but nothing works. Chrome shows the right location. I use wifi and an ISP search says West Palm Beach as well. Help! Dont make me swtich to Chrome.
