Simple problem; complex solution? I work between two laptops and send files from one PC to the other by email. This week I could not download the sent files on Yahoo Mail. It literally just stopped downloading. I checked my security settings, created an exception for Yahoo Mail, double checked MS Defender, but nothing seems to be blocking it that I can see. I tried to review other sources, but could not find something for this situation. Help?

Yesterday I thought I had downloaded two CDs from Amazon Music. I received the invoices for them but could not find the downloads on my Windows 11 Desktop.

I just spoke with Amazon who said there has recently been an issue with Firefox and that I should use Chrome to receive downloads. I asked for a refund instead as I value the privacy that Firefox gives me.

I am using the latest version of Firefox and am curious to know:

1) What the issue is? 2 Have others experienced this? 3) Is it likely to be resolved? 4) Why Amazon doesn't test its software for Firefox compatibility before making changes?

On Windows 11 24H2, Firefox 145.0.2, I click file link and select "Save as" on Firefox file open dialog, firefox display "Windows's file dialog was crashed. File will saved as C:\Users\xxx\Downloads\xxxxxxxx.xxx". And downloaded file size is 0. This occurs with any file.

I tryed same operation on troubleshooting mode, and same result. Please tell me the solution.

Using the Firefox 151.0 Mozilla Firefox for Fedora. Updated as of 23 May 2026, I use just a generic FireFox. I don't customize it, I just use it as it comes from the Fedora distribution.

I cannot save images (right click menu "Save Image As"). Nothing happens when that is selected. This worked a couple weeks ago.

Downloads are supposed to go to ~/Downloads. Checking the setting for this, Go to the three-line menu > Settings > General > Files and Applications, under Downloads, the "Save files to" value is set to Downloads, but the Browse button does not work to reset it. Nothing happens when I poke on the button. I can select the text in the box, but I can't change it.

I found the help page for "What to do if you can't download or save files https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cant-download-or-save-files and went thru every one of the steps there. None of them make any difference.

Strangely enough, there isn't even a "Downloads button" in the top toolbar. If I right click on the top toolbar and select "Customize Toolbar" it shows a downloads icon as already being in the toolbar, but when I click Done, it goes away.

Beforehand, I must say that I am a big fan of Firefox, I've been an user since the beginning. However, sadly I am switching to Safari due to the fact that I work with file transfers through Wetransfer platform and fro some unknown reason I get incomplete downloads from Firefox. I tried all the steps and procedures to refresh, uninstall, reinstall, troubleshoot mode and even switching accounts. Furthermore, nothing worked. I hope you guys can fix this issue and have me back. I'm unable to download any of my Intel updates. I've turned everything off that I know could be blocking it and authorized Intel as a safe download. I don't know what else I can do please help. Google states that I should be able to go to the shield and the address bar and turn off the enhanced tracking protection however it will not allow. I've gone to the settings page and set it to custom as well as clear all check marks in that setting. Still nothing will not allow me to download my updates for my Intel drivers. Please help

I have been trying to save images from a game I play to file (locally). I've been doing this for years, but now all of a sudden within the last (week??) it's not doing it AT all.

For one thing it now opens my in-game image - into a whole new tab (which is absolutely bizarre and annoying!!)

When I DO go to 'right click' on this image to save, I have it PRE-SET to go to my preferred location to save as a PNG file.

I go to windows explorer and it's NOT there. I try it again! Saving it as a JPG, NOT THERE.

Restarted the browser... tried again (resumed the game, got to the place where I wanted the screenshot..it's an ingame 'screen shooter' that's worked for me for years in Opera and Chrome).

It GRABS the screenshot, no problem! But to save the image (no matter the file format) it WILL NOT DO ITTttttttttttttttt

I am going bonkers. I have double checked the file path. I've given it a VERY Specific name JUST in case if I DID save it somewhere 'stupid' lol!! I've checked my 'screenshots' folder! (Which is also bizarre to me!) These images *Are noooooooooowhere*

This is a very new thing for this browser (For me!)

i've gone through my Firefox settings insofar as I can see - with a fine tooth comb. I've cleared ALL CACHE and TMP folders, REBOOTED the system, restarted my browser (which is supposedly fully up-to-date! I Check on this *Daily*)

Can you please help me out here?? this is driving me bat sh*t crazy I'm the desktop PC/Windows 11. i've run scans for drivers! For any system updates! My browsers are ALL up to date!

I tried running this in Opera and it works!! But I need to keep things separate and chose Firefox for this particular game (in-browser).

I am at a loss and can't think of what else I can try to do! (if there's a setting I've over looked! if this is a known issue... I have lost the patience to try and filter through the help pages I'm so sorry) this has put me to my wits end.

We run the www.rarlab.com website and several users have complained that the download of the exe file for the English version of WinRAR 7.20 downloads a 0mb file and is also flagged as malicious. The file can be downloaded easily on the Edge browser and it is considered safe by Google too.

Hi! I've recently found an issue with VirtualBox Extension Pack download in Firefox. Instead of downloading the file, it just shows me a web page with a lot of gibberish, like its trying to display the content of the file itself. I'm using Windows 11 and no extensions in Firefox. The only way i have for the moment to download that file is through Edge. Can you tell me why this happens? Beim Herunterladen von Dateien wird mir immer angezeigt "Originaldatei heruntergeladen. API Schlüssel ungültig. Lizenz überprüfen. Die heruntergeladene Datei finde ich aber nirgendwo. Was muss ich machen?

Hi: I've just recently installed 135.0.1 Mozilla Browser and have found that the file SAVING-function in the 'Application Menu' does NOT PROPERLY WORK: it records my message-title but NOT the contents (0-bytes!) -I never had such a basic issue in many years of very satisfactory Browser-use ...am I have a wrong setting somewhere and is there any quick fix please ...? - Email me when someone answers the thread ...MANY THANKS, Tony H.

As of today, every single time I try to download something, Firefox instantly cancels it and I'm not sure what the issue is. I've disabled adblock and Malwarebytes and refresh Firefox—same issue. Hitting retry from the download panel works but I can't figure out why the first download attempt is always cancelling, even if it's the same file. I'm not even downloading big files.
