Is there a button I push or a feature I enable to make sure that I'm opted-out of any future updates that include AI 'features'? Or should I switch to Vivaldi now and save time?

I have a particularly infuriating problem. A few weeks back, Firefox stopped displaying my usernames and passwords whenever I wanted to log into a site. This coincided with my installing BitDefender, although I don't know why.

Through googling I eventually realised I could go into about:config to fix this. signon.rememberSignons displays as false, when I turn it to true it fixes the issue.

But here is the problem I can't solve. Everytime I restart firefox or my PC / Mac (I am using both, with a syncronised account on both windows and MacOS) it sets signon.rememberSignons to false AGAIN. Which means every single time I browse I have to go into about:config and fix this. Maddening.

Please can you help?

Today when I opened firefox I was greeted with a chat gpt bot on the left side of my screen. I don't want chat gpt any where near my computer. Please tell me how to remove that part of firefox from my pc.

Please add a Custom wallpaper options, Your browser has been the best so far i have used many browsers but i would love to have a custom wallpaper option and live wallpaper option too if possible just like operaGX has. Anyone can upload a wallpaper there.

There is a 'feature' in Firefox that I think is called "click and hold context menu". Basically if you left click on something and hold the click for a second or two a menu appears that offers an AI generated list of suggestions related to the thing you were clicking on. How do I disable this? In searching I have found suggestions to open about:config and set the value for ui.click_hold_context_menus to false, which I have done a few weeks ago now and it has no affect. I also tried changing the related value of ui.click_hold_context_menus.delay to an insanely long time, but that also had no effect.

I would appreciate some guidance on how to turn this off. This is problematic enough that I may have to switch to another browser if this can't be disabled. Thanks! Attached is a random example of one of these context menu's that appears when clicking and holding on a link.

I have a Snowflake add-on, which requires WebRTC for connections. But WebRTC is not permanently active in my Firefox browser. See image. I activate WebRTC by toggling the config variable media.peerconnection.enabled into 'true' and the add-on works. For some time, only! After a couple of days it is back to 'WebRTC not detected'. What is wrong?

In the top right corner of tab bar, a message of Finish Setup. In the pop up window all area's are check off green. I don't know what it wants and to locate page to Finish Setup

Is there a way to turn off the “shake for AI summary” function on IOS? It doesn’t add anything to my experience, and more often than not, I end up accidentally shaking my phone and getting a summary I didn’t ask for.

If there’s a way to completely turn off the AI features, i’d like that too I’d prefer if my browser didn’t summarize the websites I visit in a way that can be inaccurate or lie to me.

Mozilla, please just remove these features entirely. If we want AI, we can go to ChatGPT or another website, I just don’t want it added into everything I use all of a sudden.

I am uncomfortable with the push for unnecessary ai content and features on firefox and if they are added without easy ways to remove or disable I will be switching to a different browser

I’m using Firefox together with the "Simple Tab Groups" extension. When I remove the "List All Tabs" button from the toolbar (right-click → “Remove from Toolbar”), it disappears as expected. However, after switching between tab groups in Simple Tab Groups, the button automatically reappears on the toolbar.

Is there a way to completely prevent this button from returning, even in such cases? I would like it to remain removed permanently until I manually restore it.

If there is currently no way to achieve this, is it something that could be expected in future browser updates?

To the right of Other Bookmarks Firefox still says "finish Setup" but I've checked everything and run the setup. I can't seem to do anything to correct/clean up this?

Hi All

I am trying to set up a background image to my FFX home page. In other browsers that is simple; I see no simple way in FFX. Is this a failing? Can it be overcome, simply?

Firefox is the default browser and pinned to the taskbar. When clicked, Firefox automatically opens places an additional icon in the taskbar. Once Firefox opens, in the second icon, any new links open in tabs, which is my preference.

The first image is the pinned icon in the taskbar. When hovering it only displays Firefox. The second image is the additional icon, when hovering over this icon the active page thumbnail is displayed.

Prior versions of Firefox did not have this behavior on my Windows 11 desktop PC. I've tried various settings in about:config but cannot resolve this issue. Is there some reason two icons are now required in the taskbar when running Firefox?
