I recently added the "Display Autoplay" extension. I can't seem to figure out how to get the icon to show in the tool bar. See Attached acreen shot. That's assuming that this extension icon can be added to the tool bar. I look forward to anyone's comments. Thanks

I'm using Firefox 100 on Win10 and can't save any bookmarks. They do NOT appear under the App Data Profile, which would not be acceptable even if they were. This change has made it impossible for me to continue using Firefox, unless I want to go back to Win7.

I simply need Bookmarks to work the way they did before!

Over the past two days, I have found if I create a new tab, the shortcuts that I had saved on that page have all disappeared. Does Firefox keep a backup of these shortcuts? Unlike related support messages I've read, my bookmarks and bookmarks toolbar are unaffected.

These shortcuts (about 16 of them) took quite a while to accumulate, and it is frustrating to see that they can just simply disappear like that.

I am running Firefox 108.0.2 (64-bit) on Windows 10).

I export all my passwords to usb, went to other computer and ........................... needed a 2e browser (edge) to import them?? How to import passwords from usb-stick to firefox? Is this even possible? i cannot find anything to import them.!

When I use Microsoft Edge Browser in the top row it shows my Bookmarks and to the left it also shows an icon that allows you to jump back to the Edge Browser.

In Mozilla Firefox there is no icon to take you back to the Firefox browser. Occasionally a site will Hi-Jack you and trying to use the back arrow to get back to the Browser does not work. The only solution is to shut down the Firefox browser and then restart it again.

I would rather use Firefox as it support HTML 5 audio which is not supported in Microsoft Edge.

Can you please advise.

Hello, I upgraded my windows 8.1 system with firefox on it to windows 10. The windows 10 upgrade saved my windows 8.1 files. I installed firefox on windows 10. I deleted the files created by the install in the folder 'profiles'. When I copy my old firefox profile contents into that firefox profile folder, firefox does not pickup my bookmarks and extensions as I had hoped. Is it possible to get firefox to recognize my old profile contents? Thanks, Doug

I am not too good with the computer and have just starting using Firefox. I will do my best to describe my question so please bar with me. I have 2 rows of websites that I frequent...actually only using the first row and 5 spaces in the second row. When I go to a different website Firefox is automatically adding that website to one of the boxes in the second row which I do not want. How do I stop this? Question 2...using Ebay as an example...if I keep searching on Ebay and have looked at lets say 5 different pages how do I go back to the home screen without having to hit the back button 6 times? I'm a gamer and alt+tab considerably often. Most of the time I end up on FireFox because I need to look at a map or browse reddit while I'm in queue. However, whenever I alt+tab frequently a bookmark will get selected as if I am clicking and dragging. The bookmarks on the bookmark tool bar always end up in different places. Is there a way to lock these links in place so I can't move them or do I have to resign myself to fixing it every day?

Hi all; once again and seemingly too often, a Win 10 BSOD and Firefox was reset and where are my bookmarks ? Normally I had them on the LHS of the page but this is getting too much as I cannot find them anymore. Can someone give me a nudge to where I can find them ? rJ

Is there a way to delete a bookmark from the book-mark drop-down window (accessed from triple horizontal bar/right side of browser) but retain the same book-mark that had been saved in a folder created in Other Bookmarks? I discovered that when you delete a book-mark entry from drop down menu, the same entry is also deleted from its saved location in Other Book Marks. I was trying to reduce number of unsorted entries in drop down menu while saving (and retaining) the same link in the Other Bookmarks section and folder. I want to continue using the sorting and discrete folder saving possible with the Other Bookmark section but clean up the clutter in the unsorted bookmark section.

Hello there; I had installed the "savefrom.net" extension. This extension automatically generated the website address to the "bookmarks toolbar". I deleted the extension and deleted the shortcut as well. But when the bookmarked website shortcut "firefox" is closed and reopened, it adds itself to the bookmarks toolbar again. No matter what I did, it didn't work. I don't want to delete Firefox completely and reinstall it. Because there are too many shortcuts and data that I use all the time. How do you think I can solve this problem?

Before I took my computer to a repair facility and had to reinstall Firefox, my recent activity bar had all the websites I use and wanted quick access to along one lovely line. Now I have a bunch of "suggested" crap Firefox must be getting paid for along my recent activity bar. I've never visited these pages and selecting the menu trying to dismiss them doesn't work. How do I eliminate the sponsored sites and get what I want along the recent activity bar?

Good morning, Recently I discovered there are two maps called "Andere bladwijzers" in my Firefox browser. I deleted a submap in the second map and noticed this submap had also disappeared in the first map. Is there something I must do or can I leave these two large maps as it is? I reinstalled my computer from scratch with Windows 11, before this reinstallation I had Windows 10. Now I noticed that with the newest Firefox version 109 (that I also had before with Windows 10) and Windows 11 my multirow bookmarks toolbar doesn´t work anymore. Before the reinstallation it worked with the following code:

I already tried some other codes that I found in the internet but none of them worked. I have this code in the file userChrome.css, this file is in a chrome folder and this folder is in my profile folder. Can anybody tell me what I have to do to make the multirow bookmarks toolbar working again?

So this crazy new update has broken my Firefox in these ways:

1. All my bookmarks on my bookmarks bar have been deleted. 2. I can't drag any new links to the bookmarks bar 3. Overflow menu for apps is empty and will only let me drag Firefox defaults to it such as settings. Dragging apps to it is impossible. It "is" possible to pin items by using the Chrome puzzle piece..

I would like to transfer my bookmarks (and my open tabs) from my Windows 10 laptop to a new Windows 11 laptop. I've looked at the questions and answers people have posted but its a complete mystery to me. I had thought that when I loaded Firefox onto the new PC and signed in, everything would automatically appear. I was successful in doing that with Chrome but Firefox is still my primary browser and I've had no luck. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to put a shortcut to a web site on the Desktop. Using the the padlock on Firefox 109.0(64 bit) puts it in a sticky note on Desktop instead of a shortcut on the Desktop.

I am running running on Fedora 37 KDE where this does not work.

Using Fedora 37 Workstation (GNOME), the shortcut is created and works.

How do I get the shortcut to work on Fedora 37 KDE?
