Not at all sure what topic category applies.

For some time, I have been trying to find my Bookmarks Menu without having any luck even finding its name. I knew it was there as I had seen it inadvertently once or twice, but was as far as I got. Now that I have at last found the name and even seen it in the bookmarks area, where I was able to rearrange the folders in alphabetic order.

Here is a link telling how to put its icon on the bar, which I cannot do as it is not there. I have scanned the list of installable icons to no avail. What can I do to find the miscreant icon?

I have 6 folders in my bookmark tree, only 3 appear in my bookmark drop down when saving a bookmark. So I'm constantly dragging a bookmark into one of the folders that don't appear if I want to save it outside of the 3 that do appear. How do I get the bookmark tree to list the missing three folders?

I've added the bookmark menu as a button on the toolbar. Don't like it. How do I add my bookmarks as a button on the toolbar? Don't need the menu options. Looking for a direct access to my bookmarks.

I suddenly lost my Bookmarks Toolbar and all the bookmarks (485 bookmarks). I actually fixed the problem but wanted to share what happened. I did notice that my bookmarks were still on my iPhone and I was trying to be careful and not get them to sync with the desktop.

I tried restoring the bookmarks per the Support guidance and it would give an error when trying to restore them. I could probably repeat this if Tech Support is interesting in working with me to repeat the problem.

Today I found out what happened. In Norton 360 I had blocked Firefox from using the microphone and webcam. That's it! That caused the bookmarks toolbar to be empty and also I could not save a new bookmark.

I tried to find a setting somewhere in Norton that I might have changed a couple days ago because the problem started after I had made some changes although I had no idea what I did in Norton to cause that problem.

Today I was looking in settings or somewhere in Firefox and a window popped up saying I had the webcam and microphone disabled for Firefox. Is that ok? So I turned it off and the Bookmarks Toolbar magically showed up.

This makes NO logical sense at all that this setting caused the toolbars not to display or not to be able to add new bookmarks.

i had a snuffleupigus mess with my hard drive during an upgrade, and had to install a new drive. i still can access my original drive, just not boot from it. this means with my new install i cannot open firefox to back up my old book marks but can find the book mark file. how can i restore these bookmarks using the actual file? no it's not an html file as far as i can tell. i wound up upgrading from win 10 to win 11 so the versions are slightly different

I switch from Chrome to Firefox and imported all my "bookmarks". How do I view all the folders I had in my Chrome bookmarks? If I click the >> at the top, the bookmarks are not listed the way they were on Chrome, and I can't find the numerous folders of bookmarks that I had set up. In the saved links that do show up in the list, I see hundreds of links but they are unorganized. An outdated folder that says "Imported from IE" shows up in the list several times, but it's not the list I had on Chrome. Help ;>)

Why does firefox bookmarks not always load until you do refresh? I go into one of my bookmark folders, click on a bookmark and normally that page will open automatically, but some bookmarks require me to click Refresh to get the selected bookmark to actually load. Very strange behavior. And I checked that the DNS over HTTPS thingy was disabled. Enabled or disabled -- does not matter, results are the same. Bookmarks I have issues with link to various pages on myfreecams.com (adult site) so maybe that is part of the issue. Hmmmm. But I like those girls. 😍 Mmm Mm, Delicious. Oh!!, be careful!! Never browse without "umatrix" firewall extention installed on your Browser to guard against evil scripts and other bad things.

When we are going to get Library (Bookmarks) in this Firefox view tab (which doesnt have its local URL unlike Chrome)?

Like history (finally 😌) is in new tab unlike in new window (which is forced, not user managed), we need library for bookmark manager like Chrome or Edge has inbuilt. Even passwords aka logins category would be appreciated.

I have tons of manga I keep up with and I separate them by category but this creates a lot of folders with a lot of entries. I want the bookmark panel to be a side panel so I can drag and drop updated bookmarks as well as having all entries in a folder be visible when browsing bookmarks.

That last part is the most important so I can quickly find specific things while scrolling

I installed new firefox and it did not work. So I downloaded older version of firefox that does work. But somehow it/I installed my Chrome bookmarks and not my older firefox bookmarks. Can anything be done?

ON THE FIREFOX BAR, NEXT TO FIREFOX LOGO (GETTING STARTED) i want to delete the website shortcuts that have now been there for several years. they are under the URL bar. thank you!

Bonjour, depuis le 17 décembre 2024 mes marques-pages sont sorties de leurs dossiers respectifs, tout est mélangé, c'est à dire les marques-pages et les dossiers, je n'ai rien fait pour que ça se produise, pourriez-vous résoudre ce problème rapidement, s'il vous plaît, merci beaucoup, car c'est très compliqué pour m'y retrouver, tout est désorganisé !

My add to favorites menu button disappeared going crazy trying to get it back, I believe it was a black star in the upper right hand corner,Please help it driving me crazy!!

When I'm saving a bookmark, I have a choice with one click between the last seven folders that were used to save bookmarks previously. Where can I increase that number to however many fit my screen (i.e. define another number by myself?)

I would also be happy to remove the "Bookmarks toolbar," "Bookmarks menu" and "Other bookmarks" shortcuts that stick at the top of that same menu, as I never use them and they only take space. Only "Other bookmarks" might come into use very rarely, if I have no idea how to classify a certain bookmark and I decide to temporarily put it there.

I'm on OpenSuse Leap 15.6 with KDE Plasma 5.27.11, Mozilla Firefox 128.5.1esr
