Since the win 10 update with edge, if I try to print a web page using firefox,my printer is not there,It looks as though microsoft will only let me use edge as a browser.please can you help me.Shame on Bill Gates.

Printing is damaged. All margins are set to zero. When you look at the print preview, you can see that the width of the document must be smaller and the height must be larger. With the red boxes, I made sure that it was A4. It is displayed correctly in other browsers, but not in Firefox. See the screenshot. What can I do?

I have a problem with using a Web-based application.

Before the last FF update to version 76.0, I was able to by-pass the Print Dialog tab after clicking "generate report" link, and instead of automate printing it - save it to PDF file in "download folder" (when I clicked "cancel" button in Print Dialog tab, the <<<yellow stripe>>> appeared at the top of webpage, with the option "save file").

Now, after the 75.0 ==> 76.0 update, the <<<yellow stripe>>> doesn't appear anymore, and I can print the report only by Print Dialog tabl., without ability to save it to my disk drive.

Can I have my "yellow stripe" back? Or do I have to reinstall FF back to version 75.0?

Firefox fails to display the web UI from my Canon printer properly. It should display as a GUI, but Firefox displays it as a text page. I tried "safe mode" but that did not change anything. The page displays properly in other browsers. Screen shot samples showing a page in Firefox and the same page in Edge is attached.

When opening an attached pdf from an email in Outlook, it displays in the Firefox Preview window. The Print icon to the right of the Download icon does nothing when you click it now. It used to work in previous versions. Also, when going to options and changing the applications settings for pdf files to Open in Acrobat, the browser continues to open in the preview window and not Acrobat. This is not working properly either.

I upgraded to Quantum 69.0 64 bit a day or two ago. Today I have discovered that when I go to print a web page from FF, it does not list my home network printer as a choice. I tested other apps, e.g. Chrome and MS Word and Adobe Rdr, they all still show my home network printer in their printer list, and I was able to print to it from Chrome. I have powercycled my printer, and rebooted my WIN7 PC, no help. My home network printer lists as Canon MF4270 Daves Office. My email is daveryan.cincinnati@gmail.com

Articles on this help site seem to indicate that "print preview" should be the first screen when you try to print a webpage, but I can't get it to work. I've tried "command-p", and by using the menu and choosing print. Should I get a "print preview" screen when I print something? If not, where do I go to submit this as a feature request?

Trying to print a Word file from the internet results in an overflow of blanc pages. To be stopped by closing the printer. Doing the same with Chrome : no problem, a fine print from the article.

I have changed default printer to Microsoft XPS Document Writer. When I try a print preview, I get (popup) message "An error occurred while printing." Can you fix this?

I just installed Ubuntu 18.04. When I was using windows I could print preview and change things in the "Page Setup" like:

headers and footers print background colors and images adjust margins

for some reason now i don't get those options when i go to the page set up, i only get:

format for paper size and orientation.

everything prints, but i can't change any of the more advanced setting. i included a screen shot of what i see, to show that i'm not missing an options tab or something. i know i can modify most of these settings in about:config but i used to be able to change things in the "Page setup" menu. what changed? i doesn't seem to matter which printer i choose either. the options are always the same.

Clicking the menu button File=Print... has for a long time failed to provide useful information on any of my printers, including CutePDF and physical printer. Even a short web-page seems to be converted to a single long page perhaps with something at the bottom which never shows.

You use document.getElementById("btnPrint"), but you only specify the NAME attribute in the input tags and not the ID.

So you will have to add the ID as well to make Firefox find that element.

which of course it utterly useless for others than the page's author and certainly not for the File=>Print ... in Firefox.

Presently I'm hit with a need to print the reaction on my annual tax-report. Scaring.

I have a Canon MG6250 connected via USB. I run Windows 7 with all latest updates and currently the Firefox version is 38.0.5. For quite some time, probably about a year, starting after a new version of Firefox I think , I have trouble printing. (Sorry I can't remember with which version it started happening.) Unless I wait for the printer to ready itself completely, although the print dialogue box appears and I click Print, often (not always) nothing happens. If I try to print again I get a pop-up box saying the print function is not available. If I then close Firefox and try to restart it, it tells me that Firefox is already running; I have to end its process via Task Manager. Often I want to print from several tabs, already loaded with the pages to be printed. Even if I manage to get the first tab to print, somewhere along the line the same thing often happens: before I've printed the last tab's page I get the pop-up box again and I have to end the Firefox process to make it work again. I can usually prevent it from happening if I monitor my computer's CPU activity (via System Mechanic) and make sure all activity has stopped after printing one tab before I try to print the next; this makes printing from Firefox frustratingly slow!

I do not have any printing problems whatsoever from any other application.

Note that fairly recently, due to a system drive failure, I re-installed Windows and all my software. I hoped that a by-product of doing this might fix the Firefox printing problem, but it hasn't.

I'd be most grateful for a solution to this problem.

Save Page ( Cntrl+S ) used to open a small Explorer window (Windows 7 OS). Suddenly (after update to FireFox 37.0.1), it opens an expanded (full screen) Explorer window. On mousing to the window edge, the size-change arrows appear, but don't respond to dragging. How can I make the window smaller, or reset Save Page ( Cntrl+S ) so it opens a small window again?

When I use a link from a Web site to print the Web site or blog page, the item shows in a printable format in a pop up without a print icon in toolbar or right click options. I used the customize link to drag the print icon to the browser toolbar but it doesn't appear on the pop up printable version.

Any suggestions?

I'm trying to print a receipt to a PDF since a printer is currently unavailable to me, but I am getting an error that is preventing me from printing to file. Please see attached screenshots in chronological order.

Is there a way to set page breaks before printing?

Many times, it will need just two pages, and it would be better if part of the content from page 1 were on page 2, with the rest of its related content.
