Today, Google Calendar is not opening. I keep Google as a pinned tab set to automatically open when I start Firefox, so always available. But today it did not open. No error message, just a blank screen and the blue line moving across the top of the window. The same thing is happening when Zoom webinar registration attempts to save a calendar item to my Google calendar. No error message, just a white screen and blue line moving across the top. I am able to open Google Calendar in Chrome and also can open it in Firefox by opening a new tab and then repinning it. But if I close the browser window and the re-open it (something i have to do every day or two to keep GMail from bogging down - that is another question!) then the saved pinned tab will not reopen again and I have to go through the manual reopening process again. Any clues? Thanks!

I'm using Firefox 84.0.2 on Ubuntu 18.04. It has suddenly stopped being able to load Google Calendar. It shows the banner for Google Calendar but no content, and the progress bar shows it continually trying to load. Even after several minutes there is no time-out. The problem persists in safe mode. No other Google products (Gmail, Google Drive) show this problem, and the calendar loads normally in Chrome. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I was working on a Google Apps Script to convert a Google Form entry into a Google Calendar event. Nothing too crazy so I'm not sure that the JavaScript I'm using would do anything to the browser. I could access Google Calendar just fine this morning and then all of the sudden, my calendar page wouldn't completely load. It loads the upper and left panels but not the actual calendar. There's no error message popups, the loading status just keeps spinning.

I've cleared all cache, closed/reopened the browser, restarted my computer, refreshed Firefox, opened Firefox in Safe Mode, tried a Private Window, uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. I can access Google Calendar just fine on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.

Web Console shows a lot of warnings and an Exception error but I don't see anything that gives me a clear understanding of what the problem is. Halp!!!1!1

I want to use Google as my search engine. When I go to Google and type my search keywords into the bar, I get themessage that says, "Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page." The URL in the search bar is, "https://search-land.com/?pubid=30105&tid=1015&sid=10052&q=firefox.com&sig=2" If I allow, I end up with responses from Yahoo. If I do not allow the redirect, I end up with a blank screen.

I HATE Yahoo as a search engine. I have removed it as a search engine in the options for search, but I still end up there. I cannot get to Google. Can anyone help me with this?

Firefox removes port number from pasted URLs

When I paste an URL with a port number in the address field of a new tab and press return, then the port number gets removed. Example: I paste "http://localhost:5707/typo… (xem thêm)

Example: I paste "http://localhost:5707/typo3" and press return Firefox then tries to connect to "https://localhost/typo3/", which is SSL and has no port number.

How can I disable that behavior?

Starting today (Jan 22, 2021), Google Calendars is not loading on Firefox (Windows 10 laptop, Firefox 84).

Clearing cookies fixes the problem, but the solution doesn't stick; I clear cookies, am able to open and load Calendar once, and then when I close the Calendar tab and reopen it I'm faced with the same problem.

Is this a known problem on Firefox's end? What can I do to fix this?

I use Firefox as my regular browser and Google's GSuite for mail, calendar, and so on. This morning, Google Calendar will not load completely. GMail works fine. The sidebar Calendar in GMail works, but the "standalone" calendar site does not work.

I checked this in a Chrome browser and there is no problem - it all works fine. The problem is only in the Firefox browser.

Is anyone else having this problem or have any suggestions?

Since Firefox updated to 84.0.2, my Google Calendar (web access, no plugin) just hangs with the month displayed on the left and the blue "activity" bar at the top continually scrolling left to right, I never get any updates. If I fire up Chrome, it works fine. Has Firefox suddenly been locked out of Google applications? I've searched the suggestions, cleared all cookies, set general.useragent.compatMode.firefox to TRUE, no change in behavior.

My problem is that I must have accidentally dragged a folder from bookmarks to the bookmarks menu bar. It can't be deleted (option grayed out), can't view properties (grayed out) and even when I attempt to to restore bookmarks from an earlier date it does not correct the issue.

I have restarted the computer.

I have restored bookmarks after deleting them all.

I have attempted to backup bookmarks (before trying to remove them) and no matter what that folder won't budge from the right side of my bookmark menu. I can make it disappear by turning off bookmark menu but that's not useful to me. (Did you know that when you back up bookmarks - firefox puts them into a json extension! Try to restore that file - it's NOT even an option! Rather the options are import from this browser or that one - that's another issue all together so let's set it aside for another time.)

I am totally frustrated because I am almost 100% certain that this done by me in my speedy way, trying to drag a bookmark to the folder rather than hitting the star and putting it in the appropriate folder.

The only thing I haven't done is uninstall this firefox and reinstall it. I am a bit scared to do that. I have been a firefox user early on. How do I save these bookmarks without creating the same issue again? I don't want to go through the entire ordeal only to find out something is corrupted in my profile. What then.

Ideas would be help me a great deal. Please be patient. I am used to doing things on my own but I can follow directions. The only problem I have is that pesky file that won't be dragged, or deleted, or moved in any fashion. Is there a bookmark cloud on mozilla where I can just reinstall my bookmarks, passwords and add-ons without a lot of hassle? I sincerely have done all I know how to do.

I have a ProtonMail account. (It works fine, I recommend it!) Had it for years, but have not used it much. Looking into VPN and proton offers one, so trying to find out more, and so am now exploring the proton site quite a bit.

I can log into ProtonMail itself very easily; I get directed to my ProtonMail inbox. Cool so far. But clicking on 'help' takes me to ProtonMail Support, in a new tab. Not so cool, because I'm now not logged in. If I hit the 'LOG IN' button at the top of that page, I can log in (again) very easily. But it takes me back to my ProtonMail inbox! Same problem if I try to log in to the Protonmail Blog.

I've tried everything I can think of. I've checked through all the ProtonMail support articles (that claim they are 'step by step guide to find easily your answer'); I've investigated 'Common Login Problems', and none of the offered solutions apply (I'm not having a problem logging in; I'm having a problem logging in to something other than the inbox.) I've tried disabling browser extensions; checked the settings of Javascript, Session Storage, and Cookies; even tried using a different browser.

I think the answer to this conundrum is to configure Firefox -- just for proton -- so that instead of opening a new tab it opens the content in the same tab. But I've searched Firefox help, and have not been able to discover how to do that.

I fear I am slowly but surely going insane.

Hello, for the past week i've been tackling this problem and it's driving me nuts. I've basically replaced FF with Chrome at this point, because I can't use it for work.

Firefox refuses to print, no matter which printer I select, and even if I try to print to .pdf using Microsoft Print to PDF (or other, 3rd party ones, I tried). Other programs and browsers print just fine, it's only FF that refuses, and it refuses to do so with any printer, physical or virtual.

The error I get is a window titled "Print Preview Error" and the error message is "An error occured while printing" (see attached image). For what it's worth, when I go to the menu and select Print, I get the print preview just fine, it's only after I move on to the printer selection and click on Print that I get this error.

I've followed all the steps from: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-printing-problems-firefox as well as: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problems_printing_web_pages#Reset_printer

And I've also tried using Safe Mode while doing that, as suggested here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/854093

I hope you can help! I've been a Mozillian for more than 20 years, contributor, and volunteer, but this is making my work impossible and I'm forced to abandon FF due to this problem.

I am running Firefox 84.0.2 on a Macbook Pro running Catalina 10.15.7. Since the new version of Firefox loaded on January 6, I have been having problems with how email from several vendors displays. If I call up Hotmail, for example, the page appears in teeny tiny type, so small that I have to pull the computer close to my face to read. And if I enlarge the page in order to read the left-most column, I can then only see the left-most column on my screen. I have to then scroll far to the right to find the actual message itself. I have tried the various "Display" options, but none of them have fixed this problem.

I switched over to Chrome as a test, and Hotmail is displaying normally there. So I conclude that there is some incompatibility between Firefox 84.0.2 and Catalina 10.15.7.

Any advice would be most welcome!

I can't use Netflix on my old Windows 7 machine. I'm sure my computer can handle the transcode but just in case - it runs an i3-2330M with 6GB of RAM. When I hover over a title, I can see the preview but when I click it, I end up with an error message. I run the latest Firefox version and have also restarted to check if it works but alas, to no avail.

I have attached an image below. Also, just in case, I have done the adjustments to Firefox's configuration from here.

All help would be appreciated!

PS. Not sure if this helps, but Firefox couldn't play Spotify either! When I open the web Spotify player, I can see my playlists and such, but when I click on any song/album/playlists's play button, it doesn't respond at all! I have resorted to using the app, but am mentioning just in case if it helps figure out the problem/for other users having the same trouble as me.

My Firefox sync data for a specific addon is messed up. I believe the temporary containers addon made Multi Account Containers addon to sync an insane amount of containers, maxing up the sync storage. Now whenever I click to sync MAC, it downloads thousands of 'tmp' containers. It refuses to sync ever again, hence no matter how many times I fix it locally, if it ever syncs again, it downloads the thousands 'tmp' containers again. How can I delete the sync data for good?

I am a reseller and use different sources. One of our vendor's websites is showing me retail pricing after I login. Our special prices used to (and are supposed) be visible. If you don't log in, no prices are visible. My sales rep asked IT, who said to clear cache and cookies. And again today, he said it is on my end, not theirs.

Of course, that doesn't solve the problem. Do not even know where to begin.
