i want to know whre FF keeps links on the pc. I'm totally fed up with the stupid and impractical setup where I have to wade through a jungle of irrelventa junk to find the link i want - eventaully. With IE I put a shortcut to the Fafourites folder on antoehr drive so that i could access them, rename them, orangise them, FIND them. Where does FF hide the links? this is the second time i've had to type all this, your wonderful swebiste took me to a "sorry we can't dind that optuion" page and when i came Back i had to type it in all over again. so I'm not very happy with FF at the moment.

Why can I not find a way to update to the latest version? The help window suggests beginning by clicking on the "menu" button. No such animal on the help page or the main page. Where do I find that button?

Firefox crashed this morning. Latest update was july, don't do ANY AUTO UPDATES of ANY software. I have NO BROWSER, using another computer. Safe mode didn't work, FF safe didn't work, everything gave me CRASH REPORTER. I then tried to follow support suggestion/video to create new profile, but even that crashes.

I am writing this to access internet from an old WinXP machine. The one with Firefox crashed is windows 7, (whose IE is old & I won't update it) has no browser to access internet. So your automated "guesses" about opsys are meaningless for my problem.

Therefore, I need to download an install file for firefox and take it to my computer on a *jumpdrive* to install.

Before installing, I need instructions for how to remove Firefox from all folders on hard drive - even hidden Local,Roaming directories, remove from configuration files, and from REGISTRY.

Once the clean install is done, I need to know how to swap out the "saved bookmarks" folder from prior profiles, so I can get my bookmarks back. I don't do much programming anymore, but career stretches back to pre-DOS days, so any instructions I will try.

My computer froze and when i re-opened firefox all my tabs were gone. I tried to follow the steps in this post: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1135636

but it I don't seem to have the recovery file that is mentioned. Is there anyone that can help with this please? I had a ton of tabs open that I need back!!

The information that I need to upgrade to the latest vertion of firefox appears on the screen when I open up firefox. The instructions to upgrade tell me to open up "sETTINGS" but the "SETTING" icon is off the edge of the screen. Reducing the screen size does not correct this. Where am I going wrong.

I am using Firefox 28, Google search suggestions does not work since last month!

When I typed a "a" in the bar, it might happen one of the following consequences:

1. It sometimes showed a list of suggestion under the bar 2. It sometimes does not show a list of suggestion under the bar 3. It sometimes showed a list of suggestion under the bar then disappeared after a second...weird!

Anyone can help me?

I need to uninstall Mozilla Firefox, is there a tool or something that I need to download for that to happen? I tried to remove it from my control panel but it did not work

specifically add new saved password information - i have multiple Google accounts and all are cached and showing up as choices when i click in the first "enter your email" field to log in to google followed by my saved, encrypted associated passwords. except for one Google account. i'd either like to "trick" Firefox into remembering this account online, or add that info to the saved passwords within my Firefox identity

Get "Untrusted Connection" when going to places like kroger.com or southwest.com. When I select "Add exception", I get "no information available" so I cannot select "view."

Suddenly, the type of my temperature on AccuWeather changed. I have used it for over 7 years and never changed it, nonetheless, changed it is! I went to the block showing the type (C or F) clicked on it-nothing. Highlighted it, would not change the C to F. Actually, I could not select it as support at AccuWeather told me to do. Does anyone have any idea how I can get AccuWeather to change back to showing the temperature using Fahrenheit? I am using Firefox version 28 because I like it and it supports "Morning Coffee". I have NEVER had this problem before, have added no new programs, hardware, no changes other than what I have just described. Any help is certainly appreciated. I haven't found a straightforward method to simply add the bookmarks from a different Firefox account. I don't want to replace my existing bookmarks or any other account info; I just want to add more bookmarks. I have a json backup file from the second Firefox account (that now is difficult to access), and I hope that bookmarks can be extracted from it.

I just installed Firefox 39.0, I'm pretty sure not for the first time. But I still keep getting the notification: "Looks like you’re using an older version of Firefox." along with the option to "Update to stay safe and fast".

Also, when I check my update history, it says that I haven't ever update Firefox, but when I check "About Firefox" under the help menu, it says I'm using version 39.0 and that "Firefox is up to date".

Confusing. I guess what I am asking though, is how to kill the prompting to update that I keep getting? And to a lesser degree, why do I keep getting it?

Hi, My %appdata% folder says the crash report id is: Crash ID: bp-33827730-989e-4aeb-99c5-79b652151003

Basically, both my Firefox and Internet Explorer crash upon startup. I know this is definitely related to a virus I got earlier today. My avast protection couldn't handle it so I downloaded the free AVG version and that seems to have killed it. I'm suspecting that maybe some files were vaulted that were needed for browser startup or something? Or this may have been damage from the virus(es)?

I know it's not your area of expertise to know everything about viruses/malware but if there are any clues in the crash report as to what's causing this then maybe i can follow that trail since right now I have nothing to go off of.

After downloading the source and trying make-build it reported a number of ssl errors. Following advice online, i installed some python packages which made that error go away. (Wiping the local directory and restarting after each error.)

Now, it's giving me an error related to SQLAlchemy. This is even after a succesfull apt-get install python-sqlalchemy It seems to want a local version.

The file does not exist, as stated, however, SQLAlchemy-0.7.10-py2.7.egg-info does exist in that directory, as does a subdirectory named sqlalchemy.

Am i missing a step or a version?

I want the full install package. I don't want the stub. I don't want to download on each machine I install to! What happened to ftp.mozilla.org? Is this all gone?

I set up Sync on my now unusable hard drive, with all my Firefox goodies on it. I'm now on a different hard drive but when I try to set up Sync and retrieve my old data, it says I need a recovery key. I cant get one so it generates one but the new one apparently will delete the old data that I want making Sync pointless. How do I access my old data without a key?

I was and am now running Firefox 28.0 on both hard drives.

I have multiple Firefox profiles that i created with the profile manager, but i can't find where the profile manager stores the data for the created profiles because even if i delete all firefox files in user data location C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Mozilla and all firefox data in the registry if i launch the profile manager it still lists all created profiles.

So, where the data for created profiles is stored?
