Install Firefox stable and Firefox Beta in the same pc

I am in my late 70s and need software that works as advertised. I will not put up with software that requires lots of my time to keep working. I have a FF account for my computer (I do not have or want any other devices). I am getting thoroughly sick of the nag screen in top right corner to the point that if I cant solve this soon I WILL move to another browser. Updating is set to Auto, I have tried the other settings and they still did not help so went back to auto. I have downloaded and installed FF69 but it did not pick up any of my bookmarks etc so is totally useless and now my adblock on FF67 is broken.

I have version 64 installed. I am sick and tired of the update nag. I used to be able to turn it off. Now something has tried to update something so every time I open firefox my os asked me if I want to let firefox update my computer. NO I DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And don't preach to me about security as a need for updates. I get it, I understand it, but its not always convenient for me to update every time you decide to release an update.....which is why I don't want to be nagged every time I open the browser.
I will update once. If that doesn't give me an option to get rid of the nag I will downgrade to the last version that will allow me to get rid of the nag.....and then I will NEVER UPDATE AGAIN. If the browser gets too old to work then I will just stop using Firefox.
Good job. You went from being my favorite browser to my least favorite over night.

The only available options are "Automatically install updates" and "Check for updates but let you choose to install them".
I administer a public access computer lab and don't want "A new version is available!" popups to appear while our patrons are using our computers.
Is there a way to turn off update checking in this version of Firefox? Perhaps in about:config?

I previously downloaded video download helpers and had no problems when copying videos onto hard drive. I deleted or removed all addons to make my computer run quicker. Today I re downloaded video download helpers or add ons. But when I tryp copy a video I am blocked from doing so with a message with a I downloaded som video download video software to copy video addons when i try to copy a video I get this " One last step and etc. I try to follow instructions but am unable to do so with external download manger crap.
Why do you complicate with this process with video download helpers. It was a simple 1,2,3 steps with no "one step external downlaod manager? Why did you do this in making it so difficult?

I been noticing lately alot of posting of FF excessive RAM usage or Taxing on the system Resources. My best guess here is that FF during the Auto updates has become corrupted from either the update or some other software causing the update error thus leading to excessive RAM usage causing system freezing or unresponsive Browser or making the computer in General slow and unresponsive.
Below is what one should really do in order to eliminate if the Browser is the culprit to the problem. 1. Download the latest version of FF based on your O/S version 32bit to 32bit Browser or 64bit O/S to 64bit Browser https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ 2. Backup your BookMark if you have one created or any CSS style you added as well 3. Write down any Addons/Extensions so you can find and download them later 4. Uninstall all FF installs and Deleted the Mozilla folder 5. Restart 6. Reinstall the new FF and then update with the Addons/Extensions 7. Restore your BookMark back. 8. Run FF to see if the problem returns or not
Now if you do all this and still have problems then it's not a FF issue but something related to either adblockers, A/V being to aggressive or Malware/Virus is present and blocking any Browser from working correctly. And this point would require a Computer shop to resolve the problem.
