Every so often while using firefox, my mouse will suddenly not respond to clicking, both from my laptop and my mouse. My cursor on screen is still able to move however, and my laptop keys are also still functional. Is this due to me having a couple of profile windows open at the same time, or another reason?

Hi everyone, I've been experiencing a persistent issue where my Firefox (Windows 10) randomly crashes or closes. I recently noticed that this always happens when a JSON file appears in the following directory: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\distribution The strange thing is that this file shouldn't even be there, as this is my personal computer and it is not managed by any organization. I have already tried deleting or renaming the file, but after a seemingly random period, it gets recreated automatically. Here’s what I have tried so far, without success: - Deleting/renaming the file - Checking the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox (but the "Mozilla" folder does not exist there) - I have never used any third-party antivirus software (only Windows Defender) Does anyone have an idea where this file might be coming from or how I can prevent it from being recreated? I’m not very tech-savvy, so I would greatly appreciate simple explanations or step-by-step instructions. Thanks in advance for any help!

Anytime I post or comment on Facebook and use FB emojis, FireFox crashes. (they also take forever to load and show up in posts, comments, etc) I've done the clear cache, etc, as in past suggestions, but doesn't help. I have no issues with using FB emojis in Chrome.

This Morning when I tried to login as normal Firefox cam up with a crash report, so I restarted my Windows 10 think this would send the report but it came up again, and every time I tried to start, and every time I try to sign in it say can't sign in due to unknown Error, and I can't get into my emails, so I will not be able to see your replies until you have fixed the problem, Please help me ASAP.

After total crash to a black screen, when it rebooted, the display does not fill the screen. I have tried clicking the expand box on the top right corner. Everything is oversized and doesn't reduce by using Ctrl minus. Help

Ok, I have been at this for hours and not getting 2 far. My firefox has worked beautifully for years then all of a sudden it will not load pages. There is all sorts of info on the net to address this issue and I have tried many of the suggestions but I am not a computer head so it is a struggle sometimes. - I have been through the 'Trouble Mode' path = problem persists Any help greatly appreciated

Hi, for some reason firefox has begin crashing this past week, when I'm on Soundcloud and I press the play button. Today it also crashes when I try to by a bus ticket on Flixbus.dk, this has not happened before.

I looked up the troubleshooting page concerning crashes and I tried to go on the sites in troubleshoot mode, it still crashes.

Firefox Desktop (x64) worked normally until the version 135 update was installed. Now tabs (even a single tab) crash after startup unless Firefox is run in troubleshooting mode or Windows 8 compatibility mode. OS is Windows 10 Pro (x64) 22H2 on ThinkPad E495 (AMD Ryzen 5 3500U) Things that haven't resolved the problem: - Remove extensions and themes - Refresh Firefox - Reinstall Firefox - Updating Visual C++ 2015-2022 with Redistributable (x64) version 14.42.34438 - Updating Firefox to version 135.0.1 and subsequently to version 136.0, however updater only works in Windows 8 compatibility mode - Full system scan for malware (none found) Note: Extensions NoScript and Cookie AutoDelete work normally with Firefox running in Windows 8 compatibility mode.

Hi, I just installed the latest update (I think it's 136.0.2). I guess I skipped some/several versions. Suddenly my main menu isn't workin anymore (clicking it with the mouse, that is) There is some overlay which I can't find out, how to remove. Even the Minimize/Maximize/Close buttons don't have any function. Luckily I can still access the menu via keyboard shortcuts. How can I remove that overlay bar ... or did I catch some malware ?

Endless crashes, going on for months (4-5) and no sign of any fixes. As far as I'm concerned, Firefox is totally broken and I'll have to switch away. It's unusable. A crash every ten minutes.

Thought only Ubuntu's Linux Firefox 136.0 was 'unstable' on my Gateway E-475M laptop - crashes, restores session then freezes only to log me out, then completely locking up requiring holding down power button and rebooting...

Now, even Firefox 136.0 on WIN7 is crashing, then restores session only to go to the 'blue screen of death' requiring holding down the power button and rebooting...

Evidently, the problem is not with Ubuntu or WIN7, but either: Firefox (Linux or win version); or, the Gateway E-475M laptop (2.0GHz CPU, 4Gb RAM, 8Gb swapfile, Harddrive at 61% usage, Linux/Win on separate booting partitions, LAN + usb & pci wifi's, etc.) - both OS's used to work fine, but as upgrades to Firefox have come along, they have steadily gotten more and more unstable...

Sometime, I'm only making a bookmark, and it starts this circus act... does it on differing websites, etc. Firefox is the only thing loaded - using two windows on two different monitors ...at a loss as to what to do - Firefox is supposed to be THE lightest-weight browser out there, and was for awhile... the only extension used on both systems is "NoScript" - could that be causing the disturbance in the force?!?

Why does Firefox Desktop now completely crash every time I press the Ctrl and cursor keys whilst navigating through text?!!! Very frustrating and I've had to abandon using your app completely. Please fix and redeploy your app as a matter of extreme urgency!!! thanks

Firefox crashes constantly when I load it mostly when in youtube though. Hello, I cannot access microsoft.com, outlook.com, or hotmail.com without receiving the "Gah. Your tab just crashed" window. I have unistalled firefox and re-installed the most current verison (not importing previous data) with no luck. I have no issues with Safari or Google Chrome accessing these websites. I prefer FireFox but need to access my Microsoft Account & Apps. My co-worker uses the same version of firefox as well as the same OS and has no issues.

While watching a video in full screen mode, the screen periodically darkens for 2-3 seconds, after which the video continues, during the darkening the video stops and there is no sound
