How to remove google search from the address bar on the right?????

I want to find my most visited websites in the address bar without any unnecessary actions!!!

I have disabled AI according to the instructions given by Mozilla, under settings and AI controls. When I search, I still get the first result as an AI generated result. I want to disable that. I don't need AI's help to understand what I am looking for. I want an old school search without AI.

Is this possible? If not, could you please make it possible?

I dislike having my search suggestions show in the address bar. I have cleared the box on the search settings box, however searches continue to show only in the address bar. If i go to the Google home page the searches show on a webpage Any help will be appreciated.

The start.fedoraproject.org keeps showing up on my url. I don't have it pinned anywhere so I'm not sure how I can remove it.

I am experiencing an unwanted UI behavior in Firefox. When I select text on any webpage, Firefox displays a floating “Ask ChatGPT” bubble above the selected text. This happens regardless of the site. I want to disable this feature, but Firefox provides no setting or preference to do so.

This is not caused by any extension. I verified this by checking about:addons, and I only have the following extensions installed:

DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials

Firefox Translations

Gibiru for Firefox

None of them inject any ChatGPT functionality.

I then opened about:config to disable the feature, but the usual preferences do not exist on my system. Keys such as:

ui.textSelectEnabled

browser.selection.menu.enabled

browser.ml.chat.enabled

browser.ml.chat.openai.enabled

browser.ml.enabled

are missing, and Firefox only shows the “add new preference” (+) icon. That means Firefox did not expose any toggles for this behavior.

I am including a screenshot showing the unwanted “Ask ChatGPT” popup that appears when selecting text.

I need instructions on how to permanently disable this text-selection popup, or confirmation on whether this is part of a controlled rollout or experiment that cannot be disabled on my version of Firefox.

I reset basically everything to see if I could get it to stop predicting what site I wanted to go to and it still does it. Cleared the history, turned off syncing, closed tabs on other devices before I turned off syncing. I see on setting for autofill address bars etc. Mobile firefox settings are reduced it seems. I am on IOS if that matter. I don't know what else would be useful.

I want youtube to go back to the list of websites on the url drop down menu. I'm annoyed that Heroforge replaced it after only two visits to the website and I don't know why it even did that.

Hello Mozilla, How do I permanently remove Google Trending Search from Firefox? May I ask: Please do not make such changes without obvious explicit warning? This is a time consuming nightmare. Regards Andrew

The title says it all. I use Firefox on my home computer with Windows 10, and my work laptop using Windows 11. At home, URLs do not autocomplete when typing them in--settings are all on for this to work properly, and it used to work properly, but it does not work at all. At work, URLs complete just fine.

When a system-wide VPN application (not built into Firefox) is enabled, the behavior of the address bar changes: on the first click, it only shows 5 sites (Top Sites), instead of the usual 9. After pressing the Spacebar, the list from browsing history loads normally. The problem persists after turning off the VPN and only disappears after a full restart of Firefox. The issue is reproducible. Firefox version: the latest

Hi! I recently had to reinstall Firefox. Logged into the same Mozilla account I've been using for several years, with pretty much the same config files I've been using since I switched to Linux, and suddenly--for the first time in at least a year--Firefox has (again) started trying to "fix" searches I put into the address bar that aren't prefaced with a search engine. How do I turn this off? (For example, if I go to the address bar and type in "cats" I get directed to a page like the first attached screenshot. If I type in "@google cats" I get directed to the second attached screenshot...)

I'm pretty sure I've disabled everything in prefs.js that relates to that. Um. Feature? But clearly I haven't been able to disable it yet! So.

I have Firefox, then suddenly it switched over to Google.... a little google icon has appeared in the search window ... it drives me crazy... I have google news (absolute BS). How can I permanently remove google from my PC and LIFE? Please help...

My Firefox is not showing search suggestions/autocomplete when I search for a term in the search bar. First screenshot is what I see, second screenshot is from Chrome. Third screenshot is my settings.

I would like to continue using Firefox, but this is extremely infuriating.

So, I configured the suggestions in the search bar so that nothing from my history/previous searches is displayed (see attached image with current settings). However, suggestions from my past searches still continue to appear. I would like only the autocomplete suggestions from my search engine to appear (I'm using Kagi). I already tried to delete my browsing history (Crtl + Shift + Delete - Everything, browsing and download history), it deleted everything but my past searches... Can somebody help me?

When I type map into address bar, maps.app.goo.gl becomes the autofill. I'd want to delete it. However, shift-delete does not take effect. I checked history and did not find it.

How can I delete it?

Wie kann diese Auswalliste bearbeitet werden? Ich verstehe im Moment noch nicht, wie die Liste gefüllt wird. Ich habe beispielsweise NIUS nur 1x aufgerufen - und schon ist die Website in der Liste. Websites, die ich viel öfter besuche, tauchen dort aber nicht auf. Was kann ich tun? Danke für die Hilfe.
