When you use Google's Translator, this application automatically adds a link to Firefox's history each time you modify even a tiny bit of what you are translating.

This means that sometimes, you can add 1,000 links within a day when you incrementally translate a piece of text, what is the default way to do.

Today, two minutes of that work generated 40 links!

And that was only a small piece of text!

In my history, there are in between 50,000 of these, despite regularly deleting many of them.

Even on a relatively fast notebook, deleting 1,000 links in the history takes minutes.

I posted the problem to Google Translate as a feedback many times, but they never answered.

Is there a possibility within Firefox to selectively get rid of this permanent garbage?

That would be wonderful.

I keep getting a opt-out\opt-in notice from Global Privacy control every couple hours. 1st. I've already opted out. 2nd. I went into about:config and set globalprivacycontrol to (true). 3rd. When I check the globalprivacycontrol.org website it states(GPC signal detected). See attached photos

What more do I have to do to stop this notice from popping up all the time.

There is no audio on any website in Firefox only. I'm using Windows 11

1. Numbered list item When a video is playing there used to be an audio icon showing the tab is playing audio, this does not show anymore.
2. Numbered list item Firefox does not appear in the Windows volume mixer
3. Numbered list item The Firefox Task Manager Utility 'Windows Media Framework Audio Decoder is always idle.
4. Numbered list item I've restarted the Windows AudioSrv service and Windows explorer process

I'm running the latest FF under Win7. Seems that whenever I go to the Merriam-Webster (dot) com site, after a few seconds, my disk activity light goes solid, and the FF CPU usage spike to 10-25%. One time, to regain control of my system (because everything seemed hung) I actually had to resort to the physical power-down switch. Obviously I immediately ran a virus scan upon coming back up (scan showed all okay). Now, if I stay away from Merriam-Webster, FF behaves normally. But it's a damned dictionary site. I occasionally will need to use it or stumble into it. I've used MW in the past without problems. Does anyone know what's going on?

Every day. Videos won't play. sometimes one restart of firefox will fix it. sometimes multiple restarts are required before it'll work. The loading bar at the bottom of the video (on the seek bar) indicates the video is loading but it won't play. There have been times where I have disabled every single add-on and it would not work. Add-ons do not seem to be the cause. I have tried it in a private browser window with no joy. I have refreshed firefox, I have uninstalled and reinstalled it. I have tried disabling my antivirus. I have tested videos on websites in other browsers with no issue. The issue seems to be with the video player itself. overlays seem unaffected, I can use the seek bar and it shows the captions. I have tested different websites including Youtube, Vimeo and Steam. I tried many tens of times to get it working today to no avail. finally when I closed nearly all my tabs, the video worked (but I had also opened TOR and run avideo in that), I am not sure if this is the cause. If the cause is having multiple tabs open, this is an issue for me. I have a learning disability and likely ADHD and I have a set of tabs as my homepages so I don't forget things. If It's not the mutliple tabs, then what else can I do?

In macOS you can set up a global keyboard shortcut for the Move Window to Right Side of Screen command via System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts.... In most apps that support the Move Window to... commands, this will simply move the window to the desired side of the screen when the key combo is pressed.

However, in Firefox the key combo will start the animation as normal but the window will then bounce back to its original location. It's only when the command is activated via a keyboard shortcut that it does the bounce back behavior, though; the command works as intended when activated from the Window menu in the menu bar or from Option + green button in the top left of the window.

The key combo I set up was Shift + Option + Command + Right Arrow, but I've also tried a couple of different key combos and they all did the same bounce back behavior. I've tried it on machines with different versions of macOS (Sonoma beta and Ventura) with the same result. The bounce back behavior also effects the Move Window to Left Side of Screen command.

Our IT specialist at UW-Madison is stumped and suggested I reach out to Firefox. He was helping me troubleshoot why Firefox keeps saying it's sending a code to verify my account, but I never receive the code. He has added the "accounts" email to my contacts and I don't know what else to do or try. Any ideas from the community? I need my bookmarks after upgrading to Windows 11 and can't imagine trying to recreate them all.

Hi - Javzscript Enable, though "True", still brings up the error "Enable Javascript". I spent hours on this, but nothing useful was found. Has any one had this problem, and if so, were they able to fix it?

What is going on with the Bookmarks function continuously duplicating? I've used the add-in tool (Love It!), but my bookmarks keep duplicating! What is going on & are you going to fix it? I use Mozilla Firefox exclusively as I don't like or trust Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. Would REALY like to get this problem corrected!

When I went to open the vpn file, I got a message saying that it may contain malicious code that may harm my pc? Therefore Ive purchased the monthly payment but as of yet been unwilling to open the file. Also I got vpn in order to watch peacock T.V. as well as NBC and MSNBC Ive no idea how to access these programs in the U.S. as Im in Canada?

For 8 months i am still getting tab crashed messages whenever i try to pause then replay videos. I have sent crash reports and shown them on the help page and get no real answers.

Hi. Is there a way to customize the order of Firefox headers and footers on printed pages (including print-to-pdf)?

I prefer the header to be url only, in the center. While the footer has page on left; title in the center, and date on the right.

This used to be easy to accomplish with print options in older versions, then -- as the print dialog changed (and actually improved a lot in most *other* ways) I had to turn to about:config modifications like those described in the 1/27/21 reply here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1323433. But now I can't seem to find any way to have any control over print headers besides "on" and "off."

One problem I find with having both page title and url on top is that these can be long, causing one or both to be truncated.

I don't know what happened because the browser was working fine earlier this morning and I didn't do anything to compromise it. I didn't go to settings and change anything. I suspect someone may have 'hacked in,' if that is still even a 'thing.' I think this because when I try to shut off my internet temporarily someone turns it back on and I usually have to 'fight' with whoever that is to get my internet to go off. I tried to ask google a question I wanted the answer to. That question was, how long does the flu last (because I have it or covid.) I also asked how long does covid last. What happened was that spinning thing where it was continually searching but never going to the site. Can you help, please? Thanks in advance if you can.

when i open site on mozilla its show SSL type Error on this site https://www.rehanrentacar.com but on another browser its working well , so how can we solve on mozilla ?

What has happened to all of my Task Bar / Tool Bar? As of today, Sunday Nov. 26th, everything is gone. In addition the browser itself looks "different" some how.
