I've the same problem as https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1317794#question-reply but after following the steps for the solution, it doesn't work for me. Does it have to do with all updates since this question was answered? I've created the chrome folder. I've created userChrome.css file and added the following without "`" marks in it and saved it and restarted firefox after changing the toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets = true . ```

Am using FF 109.01 (64) and the latest Windows 10 (64) ver. I uses their Virus program.

With my bank security settings I have check marked to not use 2FA Bank home page asks for a security code anyway.

This has happened to me months ago and all of a sudden everything was OK. ... and now it has happened again. When I use Edge, Bank home page does not ask for a security code. This is the way I would like FF to perform.

I have phoned the Bank IT Help desk and they are bafflled. They had me try a bunch of acrobats but nothing works.

Here's the problem: In my Hotmail account, I am getting email "cards" (entries in my Hotmail account) that say: Unusual Sign-In Activity. Now recently, I spent a lot of time finally contacting and spending time with a Microsoft Tech Support agent. This agent helped me change the password on my main Hotmail account. Yet, I am still getting these annoying email "cards" in my Hotmail account. Now, I've analyzed these various email "cards" and I discovered a few things relating to Firefox. Here's what I found on all (5) of these separate email "cards": Sign-in details Country/region: Australia IP address: Please note I eliminated the IP address here because I don't know if it safe to do so or if I will be compromising my computer in any way. In order to share this IP address, I need to know if I am now dealing with an official Firefox support agent. If so and if it is necessary to share the IP address then please let me know in your follow up response. In the pre-Webextension days, there was an add-on that allowed one-step install/run of downloaded executables. It worked like this: When the option was selected, the executable was downloaded into a temporary directory, execute it from there, and finally (optionally) delete it.

Now I only do it manually.

Ironically, MS Edge has this functionality built-in (see attachment).

I have a laptop running Windows 10, plus the latest version of Firefox. The laptop has a built-in webcam. I have also connected an external webcam via USB. This second camera is better quality and preferred, I visit a web site. When I first activate the camera, I am presented with a dropdown of available cameras. The USB camera appears in the list. All is fine. I instruct Firefox to "allow" this camera to be used. (first image) However, after a short time, less than a second, the same dialog is shown again, this time without the USB camera. (second image) There have been no actual hardware changes. I can then click "allow" again and the *integrated* camera works, i.e. not the desired camera. So, two questions, really. First, what just happened? Did Firefox try to control the USB camera, find that it couldn't, and redisplay the dialog showing only the "controllable" option? Second, my desired endpoint here is for the web site to use the USB camera. How do I achieve this? I can easily do this with Chrome but I like Firefox. TIA.

I know how to turn on OS authentication to reveal passwords in about:config (signon.management.page.os-auth.enabled = true) But is there any way to turn this on in registry?

Noticed yesterday but not as prominent, firefox suddenly steals all window focus, trying to do anything in any other window is pushed into firefox no matter if it is minimised or in another workspace. I have tested this in a clean install along with a clean profile. Bitwarden and other windows seem to act weird when they are interacted with.

This all works well and good on b8 and stable. I am using wayland (Ubuntu 22.* default), but xwayland is available.

hello when I open the browser for the first time (after closing and opening it too) full screen mode leaves some empty space on the left and top of the screen, but it happens only for first time you enter it, after reentering it the problem disappears for the session. It's not that big of a deal but still pretty annoying.

Some people say that changing the theme from default fixes it but it didn't work for me as well as disabling hardware acceleration

Regarding the sponsored ads in the new tab screen, the help link states, "Mozilla is paid when users click on sponsored shortcuts."

I just wanted to know if Mozilla is paid for each click or for each unique click. If I click it 100 times on the same computer, does Mozilla get more income than if I were to only click it once?

Hi. I don't normally have a problem presenting my Spanish tax online, using an electronic certificate.

However, yesterday I got the following Error 403 message (in Spanish) : "Identification error. Electronic certificate is not detected or has not been selected correctly. If you have an electronic certificate, check that it is correctly installed in the browser"

I have checked that the certificate is loaded on the browser, that it is valid, and I have validated with the FNMT, which reports that it is working normally, so, why does my browser not recognise/detect the certificate.

Without resolving this issue I cannot make my tax declaration.

Hi there. I use Firefox in macOS, and I always have multiple windows in different Desktops.

As you know, Desktops in mac are numbered, and each App in the Dock has the option "Assign to" a particular Desktop number or Desktops in Display X. But that is too limiting, because all windows appear in the same Desktop. I'd like an option or Extension in Firefox that allows me to set each Firefox window to a particular Desktop number, so that I don't have to re-organize all my windows every time I restart Firefox.

Does anyone know if there is anything like that?

For a week or so now, spam pinned tabs keep appearing in my Firefox browser. They're always for coupon2deal.com. They appear already pinned, at random times while I'm browsing. Firefox is up to date, and I have Webroot antivirus running and have made it do a scan of my computer.

I currently am running FF vers. 109.0.1 64 bit on Win 10 pro. I don't like what I've been reading about the latest update, my machines are old and I'm not ready to upgrade so I don't want an even more overloaded/uses up more CPU, etc., version of Firefox. I don't have complex needs in a browser, so some of the "upgrades" haven't been useful for me or have made using FF more difficult.

  I found a list of what I guess are older versions but no information was provided on how to choose a version of say v. 110, to make sure it's the right one for my laptop and/desktop (or the one that will work w/the fewest problems) that it's in English, etc.   
  My impression is that FF is mostly worked on by people who have a variety of needs & interests so increasing sophistication is what they want and that's fine, I'd like to keep using FF w/my current machines, w/as simple a version ,ie., useful for an unsophisticated user.    Is that possible?    If so, I'd like to upgrade to 110 64 bit or perhaps 111 64 bit unless either or both had huge security holes, etc and many users found they weren't very functional.   I do have security software.

I have tried for literal years to fix this problem so I can switch to Firefox, but haven't been able to get any help. I'm serious. I wanted to switch to Firefox back in 2020 and had this problem.

I've tried:

- Finding and adjusting any setting or preference that has to do with font size. It doesn't help.

- Uninstalling and deleting all of Firefox from my computer, then redownloading the newest version and installing that. This has happened over several versions.

I had to zoom in on this page just so I could type this, lol!

For reference, I have a macOS that's running Monterey v 12.2.1. It's a macbook air (13 inch).

Is there any fix for this? If not, is there another non-chrome browser you can recommend?

I can't open links that are in my emails. It tells me that the tab has crashed and it is ALL links. It also will not open 2 pages at the same time. Luckly I kept an old version to use this new upgrade is TERRIBLE.
