On the start page.. It would be nice if you could change the background! Couldn't you fix it? Where you can have a number of different images, which you can change to. Such as nature pictures etc. And then, if you want to add your own background. Your browser would have become so much nicer then. :)

Every time i use firefox with even one tab open i end up with extremely high CPU usage-50% or more on average. It causes the exact type of issues that one would expect, and after spending a hours and hours over the last month looking for solutions and implementing anything promising, it hasnt improved. Ive done config edits, countless cache clears, memory snapshots via devtools, and many many other things that have been recommended to me and nothing has helped. running the browser in troubleshoot confirms the problem isnt related to extensions/add-ons or anything like that, because cpu numbers are identical to those seen normally. increasingly i am convinced that this has to be an issue on the mozilla side. reddit confirms i am not alone in struggling with this, not by a long shot.....pls help!

searching from URL address bar no longer works. Opens search page (start page) instead of results, adding a (unnecessary) step to searching and causing me to have to re-enter my search term. the 2024 trend across the tech industry seems to add unnecessary steps for previously single-step convenient/efficient processes.

After the recent update, I have lost all of my saved bookmarks and links. These were for work, and I am unable to do anything without them. Can someone please help me get everything back. Thank-you.

Installed FF yesterday to give it a try. Today I was on a trusted page when the download window popped up showing me what you see below. I was on a trusted website and there was nothing clicked to download and this wasn't expected. It's an executable file claiming to be from Zoom.com. I wasn't on their website either.

Is the legitimate, something that FF wanted to add to use Zoom from within the browser?

I have an RDS Server that i have been asked by my business to stop a certain user account from accessing the internet. An easy way to do is this to restrict the user account to the firefox.exe file. Should be nice and easy, but it isnt unfortunately.

If i set the Deny permission on the firefox.exe, or on the parent directory, C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox directory, at some point shortly thereafter, the permissions are completely reset and the user account i set to "Deny" has disappeared.

This is frustrating as the user will just open Firefox and start browsing again.

I know there are other ways of dealing with this user, but clearly that is not why i am on this forum.

Has anyone had any luck circumventing this and perhaps explain why the Firefox application "repairs" permissions on its directory automatically ?

I have a dark themed website with light colored lable that is positioned inside the input field and having the autofill to autocolor the input's background yellow makes things look horrendous. I've tried the following CSS:

On top of that, I tried changing that for myself in about:config changing ui.-moz-autofill-background to false, but after clearing browser cache and doing a hard-refresh, the yellow autofill background color persists.

That would be a personal fix, but I would rather firefox not murder the theme of my site for others and let me have control of what color the autofill background color should be (if I even want there to be a difference in colors). Am I missing something? I don't simply want to turn that off for myself (although I still want to, but it didn't work). I want to change it for everyone visiting my site. (Like I'm able to change the colors of link or border colors or background colors of other elements).

When I want to access a particular page the page appears and then immediately disappears. In another instance I can get to a site but some of the links won't work. When I try and use the link the page appears and then quickly an error 500 Message appears. These problems don't exist If I switch to ms edge. This of course is a pain to have to switch prowsers to reach these pages particular with the site that I can enter but can't use some of the links. Would really appreciate your help

Website for DIRECTV is not loading in Firefox on my laptop. It does load in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. I did not have this issue before. My VPN is off.

This is actually the second time I've had issues with Firefox with hardware acceleration enabled it's normally enabled by default when you install it I believe I've never checked it before but when I was playing the game listening to music it blue screened on me and I got a error code involving bit one memory and I did do a check with the Microsoft Windows diagnosis tool that's for checking memory problems and nothing actually came up I even did a command prompt sfc scannow now command to check and see if there's any problems and nothing came up either and I checked the dump file and apparently the dump file told me that it was Firefox that caused the blue screen of death to occur I think you guys may have maybe a corrupt file when it comes to your guys's hardware acceleration function being enabled it could have some issues with AMD I have a complete AMD system with a 5500 XT as well as a ryzen 3600 and 16 gigs of RAM and dual channel I'm not exactly sure what actually caused it but I just wanted to address it and give you guys some information if you if any users have encountered this issue too.

i have asked this question before, your advice was to contact waterfox, but you didn't say how to contact them, as i still have classic on my computer, which sends me to you when i click on help, i can down load the newer versions, but won't install, sent a message on reddit, all i got was your chip isn't new enough, from what i understand is a better version than they is the version they said i needed, yes mine is older, but is a better version, there must be a way to get insalled on my computer, i had installed the newest version on my laptop, which is older than my desktop, it work a few times, then it also wouldn't open, thank you for any help

response to jonzn4SUSE, because on my desk top, it won't install, because my computer chip is too old, when I get to the point of clicking on finish, when clicking on finish, it disappears, supposedly this chip is a better chip than the one I need to install it, but it's older than the one which is the minimum needed to do the install, even took it to the repair shop, I had read that sometimes if an older version of waterfox is on a computer it won't install, by the time I got it back from the shop everything with waterfox was gone, including bookmarks etc., none it was saved, some of the things I could import from my other browsers, one thing I don't like about waterfox is there isn't any way to export those things to other browsers, even when going to firefox or any other browsers, when clicking on import from other browsers, waterfox isn't on the list, also on my laptop, has an intel chip, maybe older than the one on desk top, when 1st installed it, it worked, the next time I tried to use it it wouldn't open, don't use lap top very often, usually only when desk top is in the shop on desk top, even tried to install it in safe mode, after I got it back from the repair shop, is when I found out about the chip being too old Operating System       Windows 10 Pro 64-bit CPU       AMD Phenom II X4 955          Deneb 45nm Technology RAM       16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 803MHz (11-11-11-28) Motherboard       Gigabyte Technology Co. I am experiencing several crashes a day on firefox and I am providing an example of EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ on just one of them. Any one know what this means?

I use Firefox as my browser but since yesterday I am unable to use it. Each time I click on the firefox icon I am directed to a French Microsoft browser - are you able to help?

Firefox often display messages at the lower right corners - only from selected sites.

It drives my crazy - because I have to click on each and ervy one.

How can I select the sites which are displayed or can I shut them off all together ?!?

Please advise !
