My computer messed up today and i had to recover it, but i didnt get to save my bookmarks. I've had a mozilla account since 5/2/2024 (i think, thats at least what it says was the date i made my password) and i've saved a lot of bookmarks i cannot lose.

i forgot what email i had made it with tho, so i created a couple of new mozilla accounts and idk if that has messed up the profiles i'm using? i read the mozilla guide on bookmarks and i have like 3 profiles under "profile:default-release" (my settings are in danish, idk if that's what its called in english). but i cant tell which one it is? furthermore, when i click on "manage bookmarks" i get to this place that says something about bookmarks saved on html or something - which i know i havent done.

oh also, before any of that, the first thing i did was synchronize my google chrome bookmarks with firefox and idk if that has messed something up?

I used Malwarebyte scan to check for my digital footprint and it showed Firefox , spotify and another program , it also identified one password that was out there ! Does this mean that Firefox on my PC/Phone is insecure ? or are they trying to get me to use their software ?

The provided solution isn't enough (in my case, the certificate was already there, although there were intermediate certificates without websites allowed - I added that trust, as well as imported more corporate root certificates but I'm not sure any of this was necessary).

Anyway, many web pages didn't work, as all http requests beyond the original one were redirected through zscaler proxy 2-factor auth. All js, css, images came back with a 307 and the corporate authentication page, immediately followed by a call to the redirection, coming back as 200 ... but with the same auth page. I saw that the original request (the base html) was always sent with "ssm_au_c" cookie but page resource requests were not.

I did solve the issue. I had to change the tracking protection options from "Standard" to "Custom" and uncheck "Cookies". Now everything works.

I don't really need an answer but, as others may have the issue and I can't post in the original thread (which is archived), I figured that I should post it somewhere. However, if there is a way to keep tracking protection in place and only add an exception for ZScaler, that'd be great. Adding "zscalerthree.net" in the exceptions didn't do the trick.

I have used Firefox as my browser for many years and lately my emails won't open or if they do it is very slow sometimes and won't allow me to delete emails. Not sure why this is happening and I asked by email provider and they told me to follow some instructions about fining the menu button of Firefox which I couldn't find then he gave me a link and I tried to follow but was unable to make any progress. I use spectrum email services

When I open github it loads incorrectly as shown in the picture, after I press F5 to reload the site load fine. I have tried deleting cookies and I am using any ad-blocker. Any help? Thanks.

I have Yahoo.com on my desktop which takes me to my email account. I would like to get it on my task bar but when I try and move it down it is adding it to Firefox on the task bar. I can't seem to get it down there to stay

I spoke to BT who proved that Firefox and not Edge was the problem and there is a need to know how to remove entries which appear under the Firefox through either Autofill or Autosave or finally Autopopulate. This need arises from a problem which has arisen under username entry and which cannot be permanently removed.

I need some advice on how to resolve this problem!

After installing Thunderbird i had first download problems for new Firefox Versions. I tested around, installed everything new and found the solution. Somehow the Maintenance Service didn`t work properly on my machine and after deinstalling and restarting i can update firefox again. Problem remains: When trying to install Offline Languages , see picture, i get the message that it does not work. I tried everything possible, including reinstalling and deleting all old profiles (was a lot of work). Any ideas?

Hi all!

I am using Firefox Multi-Account containers with Firefox 120.0.1 (64-bit) and the New Outlook desktop client with Windows 10(*). I have more than one Office 365/Outlook account, so I use different containers for each account.

Whenever I click on any link in New Outlook, it opens in one of my Firefox containers rather than in a default No Container tab.

Unfortunately, it opens in a container where I am logged into a different Office365 account than the one I use for the desktop client. This means any Office or organisation-specific links fail to work unless I copy and paste the link across.

Is there some way to force Outlook to open these tabs as No Container?

(*) I'm using a university owned/managed computer and they've disabled the option to update to Windows 11

When I go to sites like google or bing, ect... I used to be able type multiple spaces between words now it only lets me type 1 space between words. Multiple spaces makes it easier to cut and paste when I'm doing multiple searches

I use my monitor in portrait orientation for various reasons, one of which is a large cat. In reference to earlier comments elsewhere about the tab bar, I like having the tab bar across the top of the browser window, and I don't need the additional vertical space.

I've read the conversations about grouped or nested tabs, and I've looked at the add-ons for tab grouping. The add-ons seem inelegant, and they don't really do what I want them to do. It seems to me that the best way to approach grouping tabs is keeping the existing tab bar and adding a layer of function to it.

I have 117 tabs open because I'm approaching antiquity, something of a slob, a bit of a hoarder, need to have reminders for the rabbit-holes I plumb, and I find the Bookmarks cumbersome. Firefox doesn't seem to bog down under the load, which is great.

How about this: Rig the Tabs function to accommodate two or three levels. Along with the New Tab button, make a button to open a Tab Drawer, which can be named and would always be visible. Related tabs could then be dragged and dropped into the relevant Tab Drawer, and the Tab Drawers can be dragged to arrange them among exposed tabs on the Tab Bar. Tab Drawers could contain Tab Drawers to create one or two sublevels. (Even one-level tab grouping would be a huge improvement.)

Opening a Drawer would be by clicking on it; this would open a drop-down menu of the contents. Selecting a tab in a Drawer would open a that tab next to the drawer; selecting a Drawer would The right-click menu for the Drawer could include options for Open Drawer in New Window and Open All These Tabs and Drawers in One New Window. As the user would be navigating through tabs, the drop-down menus would not be too much of an intrusion.

As an example, I could have Tab Drawers to collect the 17 recipe tabs I have open, or the six peculiar Ebay search pages I keep, the twelve crossword and game tabs I visit regularly, the eight or so YouTube tabs I maintain and the multitude of medical, banking, utility and governmental tabs I need for logging in more often than I'd prefer. And it would be nice to have a Drawer for the tabs I have for online shopping; opening them all in a new window would be useful.

I don't know jack doe about coding or what bugs could possibly arise from such a feature, but this seems a reasonable approach to the problem of tab grouping. It keeps tabs as they are (It might require a few more vertical pixels so Drawers could be outlined for visibility), and allows one to fine-tune their use in a manner similar to using other features on Firefox. It doesn't require a new window that takes up space on the desktop as the current add-ons do.

Does this seem reasonable and possible? I'd do it myself, but I can't.

Hi, I can't read some DRM protected media anymore (Prime video, Spotify) in Firefox in Windows10.

The error I get say that firefox doesn't have Widevine installed (but it does).

I can read the content with other browsers (Brave) so the problem is not Windows Media Foundation i guess?

What I already tried:

-untoggling/toggling Widevine in plugins

-reinstalling firefox and using a new profile

-using Firefox Nightly

-removing the drm folder from the profile and relaunching firefox

Every time I restart firefox, my spellchecker languages disappear, leaving me only with one - the addons are still installed, they're just not available to be selected. Even now I can't spellcheck in english. Please help.

FF has been the browser of choice for me for years. Word Press has been the weblog platform of choice for almost as long. Recently, however, FF won't accept embedded links in new posts.

If I try to create an embedded link, the link text box flickers and won't allow the text for the link to be inserted.

At the suggestion of WP, I cleared the FF cache - to no effect.

I decided to try posting through another browser, Chrome. It worked fine.

Chrome could be a workaround for this, but I'd much prefer to use FF.

Any ideas?

PS I use Windows 11, latest upgrade, and the latest version of FF

Got up this morning and FF said all my tabs were crashed - GAH! Could not open ANY new tabs, not even a blank tab, without getting this message. Clicking on restore tabs did nothing. Closing & opening FF did nothing. Cleared startup cache & uninstalled ublock origin (the only extension I had) but that did nothing. Refresh firefox did nothing (except lose some of my preferences). Went to about:crashes and all it says is "No crash reports have been submitted." Every other suggestion I found online was beyond my comprehension. FF DOES work in troubleshooting mode only, but I lose some important functions in that mode. I've been using FF almost since it was born and have NEVER encountered a problem like this before. I hope someone can help!

When I close firefox while it's in full screen, turn off my laptop, and then open it again the day after, it opens in the small screen for some reason. I tried going to the root directory in the about:profiles section of the more troubleshooting information section and renaming xulstore.json to xulstore.json.old, and each time it worked for a few days and then it just installed a new xulstore.json and went back to opening in the small screen. This is really annoying and I don't want to switch it manually every time.
