In the past few months my browser has started adding white borders around the left, bottom, and right edge. This seems to be an exact duplicate of this archived post: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1301702

I don't know why it was archived. The "solution" is to enable the Title Bar under the "Customize Toolbar" menu. But this takes up even more space on my screen than the borders: I don't want it.

It's like this on all websites. It seems to go away when I restart the browser but the borders are (usually) back the next time I start my PC. I'm using Windows 10, and my screen resolution is 2560x1440.

I do not have privacy.resistFingerprinting enabled.

Some time ago, many banking and other financial Web sites began to offer only one dual option: "View/Download". The Web site then performs a function depending on the Web browser's settings. Unfortunately, the Firefox "Files and Applications" settings don't seem to allow for this dual-option icon.

For example, in my case, this usually involves PDFs. Most often I just want to view the file and then decide if I want to save it. Or, I know that I only want to view the file and don't want to save it. If "Always Ask" is selected in the browser and you click the "View/Download" icon, the Web site asks you if you want to open the file or save it. If we ask to open it, the Web site also downloads it in the background. If we select to save it, the file is saved without our being able to view it.

If I set the PDF file type in Firefox to "Adobe Acrobat", then then Firefox opens the PDF in Acrobat where I can view it and also saves it in the background to the download location set in Firefox. This results in a lot of time being spent going to the download location and deleting a list of unwanted downloads. When I finally realized that this was happening, I had a huge list of unwanted files.

No option allows us to view without downloading. Is there a way to fix this? Thx

I need to be unsubscribed from all email marketing and miscellaneous communications from Mozilla. I keep getting this error message when trying to unsubscribe, and it has been happening for multiple days now.

After signing up for an account I am getting bombarded by emails from Mozilla. I follow the links for "unsubscribe" and "manage your communication preferences" within each email, as well as going through "Manage Account" from the Firefox browser. All paths lead to: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/newsletter/existing/ Which says: Something is amiss with our system, sorry! Please try again later. This has been the case now for over a week, so I assume it's not the system. I have tried multiple browsers, I always get the same message.

Look! I love what you guys are doing. I use Firefox on windows and degoogled android. When I've signed up for mozilla account, I specifically unchecked all email notifications/subscriptions. After that came an mail about your VPN product. OK, I have updated my preferences again, even though all was unchecked. After 1 day I get the next mail about your Pocket feature. What the heck? It seems now days NOBODY respects my choices about newsletters, ads and notification preferences. I have turned off all communication twice so far and you're still sending them. Why? Seriously why? And don't tell me there is a delay in the system, it needs 48 hours to update the preferences. This is the usual answer to my mails. Please turn off this spamming behavior. It is just bad for you and bad for me. I believe if someone chose you over fucking google products, than that individual is capable of deciding which of your products he/she wants to use. You don't need to push it like everybody else. If possible toss this feedback to upper management so they might change this behavior in the future.

I want to do a refresh of my firefox profile for it was overwriten with another profile or it was combined with another profile. So how can I start from scratch without my current profile been overwritten by what is stored on the cloud.

Every once in a while I'll visit a website that, even tho you scroll to what you think is the bottom of the page, when you approach that point, you see the scroll button jump up, and there is further room to scroll.

It happens occasionally on YouTube, but elsewhere as well.

I think I remember somewhere that there is a workaround for this, but first I want to understand if this is by design, perhaps because it's a way of restraining the given site from loading too much content at one time, causing CPU overload, leading to related issues.

Are the following operations possible?

1. open new tabs in the background from history windows without switching window.

2. clicked a history in the history window, do not move the screen to the top.

It is inconvenient that the screen changes and the display position changes after selecting the history.

All of a sudden a game on Facebook stopped loading. This is the URL "https://apps.facebook.com/playfantasyslots/?ref=bookmarks&count=0" Had no problem prior to this week. If I use Chrome, game loads normally. What's causing Firefox to not load the game?

when I try to compose mail in yahoo accessed through my Firefox Mozilla browser , email addresses do not autopopulate like they used to. Also, I am having an issue writing emails. When I hit the return button within the body of emails, the lines do not drop down. Does anyone know how to fix these issues?

On https://www.trivago.de I cannot open the date section with teh calendar. When I click, nothing happens. Works well on Microsoft Edge

I run a simple website. gcessa.org. Until recently I was able to import a .doc or .docx document converted to a text document into the site and it loaded like one would expect. Lately the characters ', ", and - have been resolving as a �. There might be others I'm not aware of. Which means the characters are not found in the codex. What do I need to do to resolve this issue. I believe it started after one of the last two updates. I don't see this happening in edge or chrome.

My browser this afternoon updated to 112.0.1. Prior to the upgrade I was watching 9now.com.au. Post the upgrade the 9now pages will no longer show the controls or login boxes.

login.nine.com.au now shows a complete white page.

Devtools indicates there are almost no network queries being issued in comparison to edge.

To test I spun up a VM that had firefox 111.0 installed with the above web site working. I let firefox upgrade to 112.0.1 and it stopped functioning again. I downgraded to 111.0 again and everything works again. Seems 112.0.1 is breaking it.
