When I close Firefox, it says I have 608 tabs. I keep a lot of tabs open, but not that many! I have tried closing them, but they reappear when I restart Firefox. I want many to reload but not the ones I have closed previously. Please advise -- it is really effecting the performance of my Lenovo laptop.

What is the latest version of the browser because when I open a new tab from a previous tab's content onto the new one it just doesnt load for some reason

Multiple attempts to post this and get help - my tab groups randomly closed and they are all gone. I spent a lot of time gathering up tabs into the right groups for big projects and trips. Somehow a window closed - accidentally, leaving only my inbox one open. I tried to no avail to find tab groups, restore history (option not given), and other ways to restore this.

I had been excited about the option of tab groups, and in the past they always reopened after a restart. But today they disappeared in the middle of session. It's tons of work and time lost and I don't think I'll use them again. What a disappointment.

When there are many tabs open, the displayed tab line re-centers automatically obscuring the open tab. Is there a way to disable this mechanism, or to insist that the open tab is kept visible? The current mechanism that obscures the open tab is user unfriendly.

I do not want Firefox to restore my last session unless there was a crash, and thus I have the setting "Open previous windows and tabs" unchecked. However, if I reboot my PC and reopen Firefox, it brings up my last set of tabs. And I always close the entire Firefox window before shutting down, so there's no way it should think that it had crashed. This doesn't seem to happen when I close Firefox and reopen within the same PC session (i.e. without shutting down in between).

Odd behavior of tabs, including the following:

1. While trying to access content on a page in an open tab, an existing tab inserts itself in the first tab (left-most) position

2. While trying to download a standard pdf file the save windows opens but does so on top of another, irrelevant tab.

This happened also in Troubleshooting Mode. It happened today for the first time, but it's not happening all the time. Just every so often.

None of this happened in the version prior to 149 (ver. 148.xx)!

I'm using Tab Reloader, and have been using it without a problem for a long time.

I can't save my tabs & windows anymore, I have the box checked but after I close down the computer I lose all the tabs when I reopen and then I need to put them all back manually. What has gone wrong it always worked before for many years? Please tell me how to fix it

When using vertical tabs layout with "expand sidebar on hover" setting enabled, sidebar scrolls up with each expansion, so that when hovering over a certain tab of collapsed sidebar, another open tab is under the mouse pointer when expanded. For additional details please refer to the attached video.

Steps to reproduce: 1. Enable vertical tabs layout with "expand sidebar on hover" setting 2. Open a lot of tabs 3. Hover over a certain tab

Observed result: The sidebar expands with mouse over another tab and the list of tabs scrolled up.

Expected result: The sidebar expands and mouse pointer is hovering over the same tab after expansion from collapsed state.

I'm on version 148.0, dragging tabs stopped working, not on horizontal and not on vertical tabs I've tried to create a help ticket for it but apparently the help form just does nothing and doesn't send when I click submit Anyone else experience any of these issues? And how can you contact Mozilla even? Edit - fixed after windows restart

Often after restarting firefox 148.0 … … 

… … for whatever reason, it comes up "clean".   Despite asking for tabs to be restored, they often are not.

I have about 7 tabs that I have pinned (i.e., gmail, penzu, contacts, etc).

Is there a way to have this happen automagically when started?

Doesn't seem obvious to me.

How can I disable the hidden tabs feature, my tabs are being hidden in the upside down arrow whenever I'm not using them, I don't want that to happen, how can I stop it?

I am using Firefox on a W11 64 desktop. Until recently (the most recent upgrade, I think) all worked well. But since then although the relevant box is ticked in settings (aboutpreferences general), on opening Firefox the tabs from the preceding session are NOT restored. This is extremely inconvenient.

Have any others found this same problem? Any work arounds?

Links keep opening in new windows, and not within new or same tab. Shift key is not stuck and all toggles in the Tabs Opening/Interaction Settings field have been turned off

Two weeks ago I started getting popups telling me to use tab groups (pic below). I have no settings governing tab groups, I did not update Firefox, I didn't enable or change anything.

How to I turn this off?

Win10 140.8.0esr 64bit

Not able to create new tabs on this Firefox browser on Home computer while the same is working fine on my handheld. The tabs are synced between the devices. Moreover, after I switched back from Vertical tabs to horizontal these issues cropped up and they are persisting after multiple browser restarts as well.
