My windows recently got updated with the new edge update (KB4559309), and ever since then I've been unable to connect to Google.

• Other websites and browsers work. The issue seems to be with google.com on Firefox.
• I'm not running any third party antivirus software
• Time settings are correct
• I cannot uninstall the latest update (which I believe to be the cause of the issue, as it started after that update)
• Ran antivirus scans to see if there's any malware on my side
• Tried resetting all browser options
• and there's no option to bypass the warning

I would really appreciate any help on this, as I cannot get any work done as having to switch to another browser sort of slows me down a lot as I'm so used to Firefox.

as stated above, in attempting to watch a YouTube video sent in e-mail from a friend, I misunderstood the message I got from Firefox and clicked "ok, I got it" instead of "disable" and Firefox complete removed the sound from my computer so that now my volume control little icon has completely disappeared! how can I restore sound to my computer? I did not want this outcome!!

Using 2FA Auth as website login. How would you clear cache when user logs out. the logout:logout@mywebsite is not a good solution,

   as myname@mywebsite will let me back in again.

To access a free website that relies on advertising I need to remove Ad Block but was unaware that this was automatically activated. Was this part of the latest upgrade as have only just started to receive this message when trying to access website.

Under Options>Privacy & Security I disabled (unchecked) all the Address Bar actions because I don't want the auto-suggestions to pop up every time I click in the address bar. However, in spite of that, the suggestions continue to pop up. How do I get them turned off?? (Yes, I've closed and restarted the browser.)

Hi I keep getting security messages about an out of date certificate Having contacted the website concerned they asked me to update the browser this made the situation worst they now keep asking if they can track me they now say the certificates are part of the firefox Security is there any way you or I can delete out of date certificates

I recently installed firefox on my desktop, created a Mozilla account and a passphrase for my profile data.

When I chose the iPhone as the second device to sync and the operation completed, I went to my iPhone, launched firefox and was able to go to the password section and select copy/reveal without it asking for my passphrase. So my valuable data is just there for anyone to view.

Can you please explain this behavior to me?

Hi, I'm not sure exactly when this started happening but when I click in the right half of the address bar the suggestions which come up now include "Search with Google" and "Search with Amazon" and several recent site visits (facebook, BBC etc) but doesn't include "google.co.uk". I like to return there as a route to gmail, google drive etc. It used to include "google.co.uk" before "Search with Google" and "Search with Amazon" started appearing, which I guess was on a Firefox update. I'm on Firefox 77 on W10.

Any suggestions please?

AS of the last 2 day when entering a site I get a security warning. It states that this may be a need to reset my clock (did that ) check permission for site ( did that) contact the site itself. I contacted the site and they say there is nothing at their end -- contact Firefox. Any suggestions as to how get rid of the notice.

Previously cached web content would go to zero after I hit clear. Now it's been leaving 10 kb after I hit clear. Should I be worried? Is there a way to get it to go back to zero?

I use Google Home page. Recently, some stupid "Try Searching For" drop down box opens every time I go to Search bar!! I've clicked off everything I can find in indexes. How do I get rid of this nuisance 'help'.

We recently upgraded Firefox on an older Ubuntu 16.04. We are now having trouble with some https sites.

We don't think it is a firewall or antivirus/antispyware issue because the same version of Firefox will work on other versions of Linux/windows in the school.

We did notice a difference in the Certificate Manager. The Firefox that is NOT working is missing certificates that are labelled "Software Security Device". The site that fails is looking for "Entrust Certification Authority -L1K" which should be listed as a "Software Security Device" in Firefox.

We have tried the following:

• Updated ca-certificates package which stores system certificates in /etc/ssl/certs/.
• move $HOME/.mozilla folder out of the way to start with a fresh profile.
• tested same Firefox on other versions of Linux and it works fine.
• made sure antivirus/firewalls are not interfering.

Hello you wonderful people: My OS is Linux Mint 19.2 Cinnamon 64-bit. When I click the "Edit" tab, I select "Preferences" from the drop-down. I then click "Privacy & Security", and under "Cookies and Site Data", I click, "Clear Data". When I click, "Clear Now" for "Cached Web Content" (I have that check marked), it doesn't zero out, but displays "751 KB". It used to clear it completely. My question is, what do I need to do so that all data, KB or MB, is cleared? This is a mystery, and can only figure when I downloaded the current version, it somehow carried over previously existing data. I look forward to your response, and sincerely thank you, in advance. Side note: I am a long time volunteer at Free Geek in Portland, Oregon. I love Linux!

I lost my Firefox password. I was changing it by generating one and copying it to Lastpass, but Lastpass failed to create an entry for Firefox. The link to reset a lost password asks for a recovery key, which I also don't have. I do have a block of Firefox recovery codes, but they are not accepted for a change of password. Is there any way for me to change my password?
